Almost impossible trying to get a ticket these days. Being a silver member is no advantage. How these tout companies are getting them is infuriating.

Silver myself and have been able to get them.

Which matches did you get them for?

LiVARpool and the Spuds

Hopefully an adult is able to accompany you Jimbob 😉😃

Yeah there was none lefty when i went in yesterday, but i kept refreshing and two together eventually came up

Indeed, took me 10 years to get two silver memberships, have just about got tickets the last two times I've tried despite trying to get them as soon as they went on sale. Getting harder to justify paying £60 a year for it

yeah we get the difference in child benefit, i was thinking more of tax relief that you get in the north towards childcare. i think a scheme in the south exists but not sure it covers northern childcare providers (if that makes sense)

Hi Folks, thought i would ask for advice here as this board is super helpful, just wondering on childcare costs for cross border workers.

Wife is about to start working in the south again, i work in the north and money is deducted from my salary for childcare vouchers, is there a similar scheme in the south where she can avail of this. She will be working for the HSE and the childcare provider is obviously in the north

any help appreciated

Hi folks, not sure where to post this. What are users experiences with fiberus broadband? It will be available to us in the next month or so. Currently we have fibre broadband but out hosue is 2 miles away from the cabinet so we only get 5mb download speed on a good day. (no difference from the ADSL speed we used to get) does anybody know if fiberus will make much difference to us?

Cheers for the tips. If money was no object I'd have spent it but we're trying to stretch it as far as we can.

Got a decent deal through P&O ferries. Sailing with the car with return and hotel + meals for 2 nights / 3 days all for under £700. Staying at the Santa Fe hotel.

We a double buggy for the kids and a wheelchair for the MIL but she doesn't need it most of the time it's good to have it.

Be warned the breakfast included in the meal plans are shite. It's basically a tea or coffee with a pastry in the park and you have to queue up for ages in Cafe Hyperion while other people argue about how shit the breakfast is in front of you. But if you get in early enough to beat the queues you will be grand. You can pay to upgrade the breakfast to your hotel but it is expensive and I don't think Santa Fe offers a hot breakfast, just continental.

There is a shop in the train station at the entrance, you are safer going there in the morning and getting your water and snacks, a 500 ml bottle of water in the parks is just under 4 euros a go, but in the shop at the station you can get a 1.5 litre bottle for about 1.50E. There are fountains round the parks as well you can refill your bottles.

yeah would also be keen to know where u got the deal through?
