I like my women like I like my bath water,

Hot enough so that I can only stay in for 30 seconds.

Anything by Maroon 5.... bliss

Mammoth task, I fear the long ball in to Donaghy. Beating Kerry by 2 points on any occasion is tough, but knowing that they also need the points adds to it all.

It's certainly one not to miss on Sunday!

Whatever about the politics I would venture to suggest that not too many Republic players would get into the current North of Ireland team. You would have to concede that Michael O'Neill is enhancing his reputation as an excellent young manager, destined for a big club job in England.

Comedy gold there T Fearon!

The group that Northern Ireland are in is a Mickey Mouse group compared to Republic's. Poland, Germany & Scotland would beat the pick of any of the teams in N.I's group. I mean, Romania top the group, and that's saying something.

Johnny Evans would start, possibly Gareth McAuley. as for the rest, Chris Brunt etc, no. Regardless of how they perform for the Republic, names like McLean, McCarthy, McGeady, Long, all would step into the Northern Ireland team at ease.

Joke of a show, really don't seem to show us any reason why we shouldn't subscribe to the likes of Setanta and Sky.

I hope Mickey can get the boys together to muster up every ounce of football/energy the have in them to give it a good rattle.

Going to be a tasty clash, Kerry undoubtedly the better footballing team, although we've never seen Tyrone try to play good football in this campaign yet.

I really do fear the Donaghy tactic against our defence though, feel Ronan McNamee would struggle against the long ball in from Moran and the likes.

Any tips for the weekend, apart from keep my money in my pocket!

See the New One ruled out of defending its title at Aintree.

Barry Geraghty also ruled out of Fairyhouse & Aintree through injury, hoping to be back for Punchestown.

Lads, looking a bit of help here!

5/6 of us looking to give it one last throw of the dice for a "lads only" holiday.. we're all 21 now. The thing is, we've been to Magaluf, Santa Ponsa etc and if I'm honest I found them to be complete sh*tholes! Over run with typical English crowd, cheesy and tacky, not to mention our run ins with thieves, few wallets have been lost on our travels!

Any verdicts on Ibiza? We all dream of Vegas/america in general but unfortunately that's out of our budget, we're all working though (not students) so we aren't afraid to pay a bit extra for good accom etc.

Is ibiza really any different? or just your typical spanish booze up. Don't hear as much talk of Ayia Napa anymore. Cities are good craic Barcelona etc but more costly and only great for 2/3 days.

Booking it around football as well, so most likely July! [/font]

What parts/areas of the island would probably suit best? looking at booking shortly from dublin airport, probably 1st/2nd weekend in july. If you want to be fairly central to all the action.

Yeah, its a ball stop I think is the proper term. I have two nets though, which I'm going to somehow inter-twine/fasten to each other in the middle, so most clubs including our own would have one big nets to cover the whole area. A net like this would be too high though for what I'm after.

Looking a bit of help here, I've bought 2no. 35ft x 24ft catch nets for a bit of a football pitch I've marked out and fenced off from the field for the lads to practice at the back of the house.

They were got from http://www.goalpostireland.com/store who are based in Tallow, Co.Waterford.

I plan to erect these 2 nets side by side so that they meet in the middle, and I've concreted in 3no. telegraph poles (should be a strong job!), one at either end and one in the centre. This will ensure they are definitely wide enough and a good height, the goal uprights aren't full length so this should be suffice, but the width of the goals and goal size are full standard size.

Now the problem I have is getting the right accessories to make sure the catch nets are held tightly in place.

Any suggestions? I was thinking of wire ropes, or some sort of pulley/ratchet system that could wind the net tighter. Where the 2 nets will meet in the middle, I'm thinking of gate hangers or equivalent up along the middle telegraph pole to keep the nets together, but not sure of what way to fasten them in place.

Can't see any accessories on any of the suppliers websites in Ireland who provide catch net sales & installation.

Cheers.

To be fair the 8 teams left bar Monaco, possibly Porto, are what I would perceive to be the best teams in Europe.

Chelsea would merit a place in there.

Still fancy Bayern to win it, they won't be phased by the Spanish charge this year.

Can someone re-post the proposed/estimated club fixtures please? (Intermediate preferrably). I've lost the link on my phone and can't remember where it is on here.

Cheers.

Was very disappointed by the Aaron Kernan to Sunderland part of the programme like many of you. Was expecting to see him in a match situation or at least testing his fitness vs " the professionals". I reckon Sunderland gave a bit of  the old cold shoulder approach to this experiment.

Out of the 4 I would say that the "easiest" (define easy) transition would be from the Gaelic to Soccer, as most of us would play a bit of soccer.

Lads, and Dublin folk in particular,

I've been to Dublin 3/4 times since I started drinking (18 of course ;) ) and I've fallen into the trap of heading into Temple Bar every time. Whilst I do enjoy it and the pubs are good craic with traditional music, I agree that it's full of tourists and the pints, although tasty, are dear.

4/5 of us aged 21/22 heading down from Monday-Wednesday for Paddy's break.. staying in either Blooms hotel/Drury Court (haven't decided yet, both got cheap!) and we're looking for just normal Dublin pubs outside of the Temple bar area.

At night we'd usually head by Harcourt Street to Dicey Reilly's and of course Copper's.
Been told to head by Pearse, South Great Georges, and South William Street? Pubs like the Long Hall, Palace, Grogans etc.

We'll probably head to the club final in Croke Park on Tuesday.

Cheers.
