The starred games definitely need looked at. The moy have got treated very badly with them this year and could be the difference in staying up or going down. Why would the moy and greencastle be a starred game? Greencastle have no county players.

It wasn't a one off either. They've already played coalisland who have none. They also had a starred game against strabane who only have one county player which they lost by 2 points and a game v donaghmore who have one. So not one starred game is a against a team with two county players.

The farce would not have been if the cavanaghs played today but the fact it was fixed as a starred fixture.

The starred game system is flawed in that Mickey Harte etc will tell players not to play even in the non starred games!

If the Cavanagh's wanted to play they could have, but they didn't and Moy lost again.  If county players take the field in starred games the county board have no powers to enforce they don't play, the games proceed then the players themselves would probably have to account for themselves or their actions to Mr Harte.  I'd imagine that would be quite a hairy conversation  ;) ;)

Brackaville looked good yesterday. Ran up a good score against Glenelly who are normally solid. Started the year patchy enough but look to be getting stronger with every game. Aghaloo wont be far away either.

Beragh should have too much for Drumquin, and would expect Aghaloo to overcome Drumragh.

The other two ties are harder to call.

I don't know. Drumquin will push Beragh who are a bit and miss team. While Aghaloo needed a late injury time goal to get a win against Drumragh in the league. Could go either way.

I think Aghaloo should have too much up front but if Drumragh get ahead of Aghaloo it wont be easy for them. Very hard team to play against with two sweepers all the time and Taggart dangerous up front.
