Unbelted child or appropriate child restraint: 3 penalty points, max £500 fine

Driving unbelted: 3 points, max £500 fine

Lifting mobile phone/map reading/applying make up while driving: 3 points, max £1000 fine

Lifting mobile phone while driving bus/coach etc: 3 points, max £2500 fine

Exceeding Temporary speed limit: 3-6 points, max £1000 fine

Careless driving: 3-9 points, max £5000 fine

Using a vehicle in dangerous condition (eg bad tyres): Disqualified for at least 6 months (if similar offence in previous 3 years)

Big push on this.
No doubt there will be some points given out in the 1st few months of it

Thought we should start this after reading a column in the Indo yesterday.
