Putting might be far from Rory's strongest suit, but the stats are a bit misleading. His power game means he hits more greens in or under regulation than just about anyone. So his avg putts per round should always  be higher.

He led the tour in average drive distance last year alright.

However, he was very much middle of the pack when it came to GIR - 96th out of 190

Saw a stat that Li had 23 putts per round but McIlroy had 27 per round

And Hatton (3rd) & Levy (4th) had 28 putts per round.

Fleetwood (the form player going into last week) was over 28.

The lowest overall average so far this year on the PGA tour is 26.6

Li was outstanding last week & he pipped McIlroy by one shot; McIlroy played brilliantly, however, he is held to a higher standard by everyone but especially by his begrudgers

Consider Rory can't hold a two stroke lead with half a round to play with the fact that Tiger never lost a major when leading before the final round. See the point I'm making?
