He is eroding one of Limerick's big advantages a little bit.
Must be very confident they won't be caught!

It's a drop in the ocean as to what goes into hurling development and the Limerick county hurlers.

How many clubs are in Antrim?

About 45-50 ?

If there's 50 clubs say, then each club will get €20,000.

Quote from: Itchy on December 14, 2023, 12:44:42 PMI would have mixed thoughts on this. The man is a tax exile so he doesnt pay his fair share into government where our elected representatives decide where it should be spent. Instead he thinks he should decide where it should go - that doesnt sit easy with me to be honest.

On the other hand it is an extremely generous donation that he doesnt need to make and will be very welcome by each County board, especially in smaller counties.

+1

Should go a long way to cover some of the managerial expenses certain counties incur.

I'd hope it's a straight split to the clubs like it's intended and nothing syphoned off to the county boards as an "Admin" fee.

They're a pair of c***ts, on the same level as Boris.

Is it not the case that their phones are wiped once they hand them back?

Yes, this would happen in most companies if you hand back a mobile phone, computer or laptop.

How about a stint with his own club and try and lift the level down there.

Nearly sure he was manager before in Ballycastle...

Sometimes managing your own team is harder

Yeah and allegedly was being paid, one of the few instances of fellas taking their own club and asking to be paid

Can't see there being the same amount of money being paid to hurling managers in Antrim, would any be doling out the "expenses"?
Loughgeil, maybe!

Quote from: Kidder81 on December 08, 2023, 01:20:29 PMNot sure what you do with the Mageean Cup, 6 teams in it this year with two groups of 3. All 6 qualify for QF or semi final.

Knock made an awful mess of it this year...

They'd a good team, probably a bit below both finalists but should have been well able to give either a decent semi-final, but the team was badly out of shape against St Pats Maghera in the quarter final and got caught out.

Quote from: illdecide on December 07, 2023, 10:09:47 AMBeen a Lurgan man all my life, it has its downsides surely but has some great positives too. It's no different to any other town, it has it's fights and it's anti-social behaviour but the drugs thing is a real problem. this drug thing is not just for Lurgan, the whole country is awash with Cocaine and other substances. I had a conversation last night with one of the top trainers in the GAA circles and he told me you'd be astonished by the people who take Cocaine, County players, club players, professionals, basically all walks of life and he said it's not just weekends either. I have heard all the stories about it and maybe i'm a wee bit green when it comes to things like that. The thing that goes on now is not sectarian as these drug dealers are from both communities and religion would very rarely come into it, it's all about the drugs and money and I've no doubt the source is all coming from Dublin. To stop all this you need to cut the head of the snake and we all know who the snake is...This is the only aspect i miss the Ra for, these Dublin cartels may well have been eliminated many years ago before they got to the "untouchable" stage.

I think the issue now is that you are in the minority if you are not taking drugs unfortunately.  There is a casualness to it that is unfathomable to me.  You cut the head off the snake and another will fill the gap, supply and demand and all that.

I agree in part to your Ra statement.  These cartels have grown to a level that is above policing, a slap on the wrist or a few years in jail is not deterrent to them.

On Lurgan, I have been many times and it's no rougher than any other big town.  Areas you wouldn't venture into etc.

I have worked with Lurgan people professionally and within the GAA and I find them very respectful and good natured to be honest.

One of our camogs is an addiction nurse based in Belfast and I'd got talking to her recently at a play park of all places and she was telling me cocaine is absolutely rife in the North.
It's the drug of choice for a lot of young ones on a night out as you don't put on weight with it (boys and girls she says) and there's no hangover the next day so you can go about your business as normal...

Scary considering what shit they put into it.

Quote from: Oso on December 07, 2023, 01:20:55 PMWell that's your view. It's not something I agree with or Woody would agree with in his coaching sessions.

Committing the defender is often how to create the space for the runner and the overlap and how to create the space to get a shot at goal.

Don't take commit the defender as a forward you are forced away from goal and into wide areas, too easy to play against.

And u14s need to develop their movement, spacial awareness and footwork in this regard.

And how does two touch prevent an U14 player, any player from taking the ball into contact?

I've never seen anyone go into contact with the ball still on the end of their hurl.

Quote from: imtommygunn on December 07, 2023, 12:17:53 PMYeah I think Starmer blew a lid on that yesterday.

The tories are stripping every bit of money out of the UK tax payer just like someone who knows their business is about to go bust and fúck everyone else.

Starmer has an open goal at his mercy, but it's looking like Sunak won't be on the opposite side of the election, he'll be gone before then.

Think she is talking about posters like you and Itchy & Tonto in this

The guardian has a similar article to the bbc, it is reporting on the testimony from witnesses, first responders, those that gathered up the bodies.

There are still photos & Hamas video footage. But again if you choose to believe Hamas over them that's fine but it's says a lot about you.

There's no doubt Hamas committed atrocities that day and 1200 to 1400 people were killed that day, how many by whom is still up for debate.

What's not up for debate is Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza with thousands of children being killed, left to die in incubators, carpet bombed etc etc.

If you think that one justifies the other, then I'm not sure what that says about you!
