Utd are clearing the decks it seems;

Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic  Jesse Lingard are all gone, Anthony Martial , Eric Bailly. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Dean Henderson and Phil Jones probably should be leaving also.

Who's replacing them?
I'd say Bailly, Martial and Wan Bissaka will stay. Not because they're any good but because realistically 10 or 11 players won't be coming in this summer. Henderson is apparently one of the leaks in the dressing room along with Lingard, if so then good riddance to both.
He probably wont be able to get shot of them all in the one window, but if offers come in I dont see Ten hag wanting to keep any of them.

It just shows how big a job Ten Hag has on his hands.
Id imagine he will bring in a few players he has worked with before who are good characters to start with. The dressing room seemed to be toxic for the last wile.

I wonder will they stay in work next Thursday and Friday on protest.....
That's one of the dumbest arguments always thrown up against anyone anti monarchy. Just because you get the day off work due to a public holiday doesn't mean you are actively celebrating the jubilee.

Will Liverpool put out their best team?
Maybe not their best, but I'd say he will go with the strongest available.
I don't expect to see Salah, Fabinho or VVD starting. Trent should come back in. Henderson at 6. Mane ,Diaz , Jota/bobby up front

Think milner and minamino might get kept, if milner would accept a deal on lower wages id be more than happy he stayed around. actually feel sorry for Ox as hes well out of favour now. Mustve been words spoke

Big Divock the ledge, could there be one last input afore he goes 😎
No better man.
News filters around a tense Anfeild that Coutinho has put Villa 2-1 up in the 87th minute. A stubborn Wolves are standing firm , holding liverpool 0-0.
Divock comes off the bench for Liverpool in time for a late liverpool corner.........

Its the hope that kills you

Big Div off - personal terms agreed with AC Milan

He will go down as a cult hero. Scored some massive gaols foe the club and seems to have been well liked in the squad.

You'd imagine Ox, Origi and Milner will all go in the summer. Maybe Minamino too (although i'd prefer he stayed)

I'd say a similar line up for Liverpool to that game tonight would be more than enough to get a win v Wolves. All about whether Villa can do anything really. Unlikely but I wouldn't rule it out.
Id say he will go a bit stronger than tonight, but won't take any risks with anyone with a niggle.

General discussion / Re: building a house
May 17, 2022, 10:55:31 AM
The trouble with waiting is the cost of building is increasing quicker than you can save, which I have found out to my cost.
I have put off building for a while now, but I am now in a worse position than if I have just pulled the trigger 2 years ago. (although Covid was the big issue there too)
So hard to know what to do, and house prices in general are starting to get silly again too.

Only minor on the scale of things but big chance Salah misses out on Golden Boot. Son's last 2 matches are Burnley and Norwich hes only one behind Mo

Fab is a huge loss. Hendo Kieta and Thiago far from solid injury wise, the engine room is creaking at just the wrong time...
I suppose the thing is city have a chance to all but wrap up the PL before liverpool play again, so they likely only have to make it through 2 meaningful games, the two finals.

Maybe Liverpool will win their final two games 5-0 and City will lose to West Ham and beat Villa by only a goal or two. :P

Would that even do it? :D
It would set up an unbelievable final day anyway , but the chances are slim to say the least.

I am looking forward to seeing him in the PL, but he has the potential to push city on another level again. Not getting Kane last summer could be a blessing in diguise for them.

I think it was Brighton's third goal where not one midfielder had tracked any runs or were in picture when it was rolled in.
Then you have English pundits talking about how Rashford and Maguire need coaching? Now, that is true up to a point but some of their basic errors are beyond a joke.

Pogba would be great for City from a United point of view.
He could go there and be class. I'd say all these "injuries" would dry up too.

But would he track players, chase down players and be part of a team? Christ I put more effort into having a crap than he does on the pitch

Pep wouldn't give him 5mins in that City team. The best teams are the hardest workers. Pogba is a complete fraud. What a waste of talent.
I'd be inclined to agree. For it to work there would be one hell of an amount of teething problems but I'd imagine the toys would be out long before they could be worked through.

Yaya Toure was a rolls royce of a midfielder who got very limited time under Pep once he got his signings. He might have been getting on a bit at that stage but I'm not sure a younger version of himself would have fared any better. Same way Pogba wouldn't be tolerated, I'd be absolutely shocked if they signed him.
There is next to no chance of Pogba going to city. Its the usual clickbait nonsense used to fill column inches.
