Kyle Coney is underage for U21s this year.

He was named in the McKenna cup squad but was not stripped out as I think he is injured.

Cheers. I'm sure he'll come back into the fold shortly. Hopefully we see plenty of him this year!

Hopefully so, he certainly has the potential to make an impact.

Mattie Donnelly certainly made his point tonight. Gave McCaul and Swift a fair roasting. McNulty was very good when he came on, some speed. Pickering even got in on the act for UUJ with a point from CB. Good to see these boys in full flow at this level.

On a separate note, must be a while since 3 Fianna men started for Tyrone seniors. Mackers looks at ease in the Tyrone set up and McNiece is a natural forward that will only get better. Although Curran was caught out badly for at least one of the goals. Girvan has proved himself enough IMO to keep a place for the league. Plenty of competition for league places.

'Tyrone u21 team'

What have I won?

dulaman

Very good. Do you know what the team was?

Kyle Coney, Tim Harney and I take it that boy Teague are all injured so aren't on the panel but they will be when they're fit. Manager just wants the boys that are fit to play at the minute. Simple enough

I would suggest the point that is being made is that, contrary to rule, 2 post-primary players were selected in the above panel

Rule 6.44
Closed Months/Collective Training
The months of November and December shall be closed months for all games involving Inter-County teams and collective Training for Inter-County panels.
The commencement dates for the Collective Training of Inter-County Under Age Teams shall, unless otherwise approved by Central Council, be as follows:
Under 21 Football - January 1st.
Minor Hurling and Football - March 1st.
Under 21 Hurling - May 1st.
An Under-Age Inter-County Team shall be restricted to a maximum of three collective sessions - Training and/or Games - per week.
Post Primary Schools shall have 'first call' on players who are also involved with a Team in an Inter-County Under 21 Provincial/All-Ireland Championship, and such players shall be restricted to Training with a Post Primary School Team only, during such dual involvement.

Radda bout yeee

Just curious but is there many clubs out there who haven't started any form of training? I ask as I know Kildress haven't made a start yet and haven't heard when they will.
In your opinion what do people think about training starting later in the year is it a good thing or bad thing?

Maybe not so good for some managers and their "expenses"  ;D  ;)

Omagh unsuccessful with their u21 appeal. Eglish awarded u21 title. A terrible end to a competition made worthless this year.

Final Whistle

Not Eglish's fault that the other two teams and supporters could not behave themselves in Gortacladdy.

When in Rome I suppose.

For what its worth I think Eglish would have took Omagh or Derrylaughan regardless.

Is this going to be a recurring theme with Omagh now that they are going to appeal EVERYTHING that goes against them.
