if we take kerry it will be a last 20 minute win, and to do with fitness and pace that we can bring on.

Fitness and pace ? I heard you were going to park the bus in front of the goal but decided to use Mugsy instead.

It'll be hot so watch out for pies being thrown along with the water bottles  ;D

I'd say ye got some thrill looking for that photo.

This will be something.

Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney on a (hopefully) sunny warm Saturday is the nicest place in the world to be at a match. Throw in all the sideshows from the past and we should have a cracker on our hands.

I hope the B&Bs can cater for the Northern hordes that will travel. Remember, travelling through Longford keep the boot down. Down I say. Or perhaps stop off in Lynn's in Edgeworthstown for a quick pint for the travelling companions. It's a hoor of a journey.

The motorway to Limerick now is hard to bate and knocks nearly an hour off the journey.

I think that Tyrone are the right side of the transition period and Kerry have to hit the trough yet so I would expect Tyrone to sneak it.  Tyrone do well against Kerry when they stick to the football.  Too many fouls would be like bread and butter to Sheahan, the best free taker in the country.

Tommy Carr on the radio absolutely slandered the referee in the Westmeath game, in a nutshell said the referee  rode Westmeath.

The commentators on Radio Kerry were saying that Kerry were getting some very handy frees so he may have a point.

Was listening to 'wishy' and yer man as well.  At the critical stage at the end of the match when Westmeath were 1 up, there were 3 or four strange decisions in a row that gave Kerry the lead, according to these boys.  1  free not given that would have put Westmeath up by 2, a sideline ball that started the move for the equalising free.  A free for Kerry that should have been called for touching the ball on the ground and another soft free for Kerry after that I think.

Heartbreaking for WM

Not at all surprised by this after Limerick's comeback against Clare (big comebacks are scarce these days)-will prove to be a tricky team if they can take an early lead as they seem to have great determination towards the end of a game.  Well done.

GAA Discussion / Re: Brolly and Spillane Etc

After Sunday's bletherings, I reckon Spillane is that wee bit cuter-Brolly has now shown his hand in being sensationalist for the sake of it.  On what was a good oul' day for Ulster football,  you'd wonder what his loyalties are $$$

The way this thread has developed is a clear example of how pundits can steer discourse in a certain direction.  After every game, the fans of the losing team always have grievances, some justified, some not-I for one have been guilty of getting caught up in post-match dummy spitting on several occasions-that's natural enough.  If I were an Armagh fan, I might say that a few decisions might have went differently.
However, that game was played in good spirits in a professional manner.  The free near the end where Donnelly was travelling at speed was a free on any day and I recall the Armagh player-was it Mallon?-being raging at himself and clearly saying "Why did I do that?" to himself as he walked away.  Any player travelling at speed only needs the slightest of touches to send him over-if he tries to stay up, he does a chicken dance and runs into other defenders.  If the tackle is legitimate, he loses the ball. Tyrone are relatively small and light and travel at speed so they are going to pick up these frees.
Very little time was wasted over the cramp incident-after that player could be seen to be hobbling to the subs bench.
The Dyas sending off is a no-brainer.  I for one was happy to see the two-handed rugby-type spoiling tackle punished harshly and hope that this continues throughout the championship as it was rife and unpunished last year.
The only thing debatable was the shout for an Armagh Penalty-a good case only spoiled by Carlin's determination to play on with the ball.
I remember a time when people used to say that wee Peter and Dooher should lie down a bit more and stop gettin themselves kilt.  I'd say they took that advice and it paid off.  However, this is a very different Tyrone team who fear nobody and I for one was impressed with their 'get on with it' attitude on Sunday-opting to try and take the quick free instead of tearing the ass out of it.
The only thing about Brolly's rants on Sunday is that it was so off-the-mark that he actually done himself more harm than Tyrone.  I think Brolly does liven it up at times but that was just ridiculous.

Tyrone lucky to get away with that one, altough Armagh lacked a scoring threat outside of Clarke.  I'd say Tyrone psychologically stepped down a gear when Dyas was sent off-took it for granted.  Have to say that whatever Brolly says, I feel that Tyrone showed a maturity in getting on with it after shipping a lot of persistent niggly fouls- a virtue missing in other years where they might have lost the head a bit.
Tyrone not as far ahead of Armagh as the commentators would have you believe only Armagh need more firepower.  Priceless to see O'Neill make a Laurel and Hardy of McKeever and Mackin in the first half!  Some of the newer Tyrone players lack a small bit of experience at crunch-time in matches, I'm sure Mickey will work on that.
All in all, a good pacy game, much different to the Munster one

Listened to that on Limerick Live 95-best match I've listened to on the radio in a while-well done Clare!
