Couldn't warm to the James Bond shows... when it said on her majesty's service was turn off... glorified the SAS

Pretty big chip you're carrying there.

Quite an historic day in film history with the first Bond to pass away.
All the Bond girls are still alive.

Wasn't David Niven a Bond? He passed away years ago.

David Niven (1 March 1910 – 29 July 1983) starred in Casino Royale in 1967.

Barry Nelson on TV and Bob Holiness on radio who both played James Bond are also dead.

I completely forgot about Niven , but I don't know about the other two - I stand corrected.

Are the official Bonds not just Connery Moore Lazenby Dalton Brosnan and Craig?

They are the Bond franchise actors so I suppose you could call them the "official" Bond.

Owen Brannigan

David Niven in Casino Royale was not part of the Eon franchise who would not take it on for many years so the producer did his own thing.  Much more comedic even than the official series.

So Roger Moore is the first Bond to have died then   ??

Unimaginable. I can't believe it. How would you live with yourself?

The worst I have done is drive halfway to work with one in the back of the car and I can totally imagine how it would happen if you were in autopilot and the baby was sleeping. You'd worry about that lad as I don't know how you shake that off.

What a heartbreaking story. I feel.so sorry for the family. The death of a small child is awful.
