Don't know where to put this so this'll do - Daft Punk's new album, Random Access Memories, is available for streaming on iTunes (and thus available to *ahem* own from other sources). One of the few music releases I was actually looking forward to and based on my first listen it doesn't disappoint. Lots of 70-80's dance/electronic/synth vibes. It's like a love letter to the roots of their music.

Hard to top Discovery in terms of impact but RAM will probably end up being regarded as one of their best.

I thought RAM was shite to be honest. Self-indulgent wankery. One or two songs (Contact in particular) were very good.

The National's new album - now that's living up to expectations.

Im a Daft Punk virgin...And I think Its quite good. Maybe a wee bit biased cos I'd be a Nile Rogers Giorgio Moroder fan of old. However wots the earlier stuff like...maybe you can advise?

Homework and Discovery are excellent - more house, less funk. Human After All was crap with the exception of a couple of songs. I really liked the Tron Legacy soundtrack they did - added in lots of orchestral pieces to it.
