well Carmen no doubt proved a lot of people wrong this evening I'm glad to say, we didn't win but in my eyes very unlucky not to, Clonoe Defo didn't win easy like a lot of people on here thought they would!
I fail to comprehend why Carmen didn't put mcgurk on earlier ! Maybe he's coming back from injury ! I told the guys in team talk at the outset of the championship there was only one marquee full forward in tyrone ; Dan Mor and boy can he deliver the goods ! Tyrone need someone to sore goals and frees and big Dan should be tried out . After all he was the man that won us the u21 title last year ! Don't worry about the lads attitude ! He oozes class ! Carrickmore are far from finished ! Monroe is a good un !

Stand out players over the weekend were clearly 2 x Sluddens and Mark Bradley. Let it be said that Tyrone have been crying out for a free taker and from memory I don't think Lee Breenan missed any yesterday. Great off the ground especially when having to judge a swirling wind around Pomeroy. Some may say he's young but if he's good enough, he's old enough

Mark Bradley never stopped moving and Was constantly looking the ball. Serious player

Whoever Dromore draw might just fancy their chances with no Mc Cusker. Arguably the best Non County Player this last 5/10 years

Dede Mulgrew at 18years oul gave McCarron his fill of it yesterday

Mulgrew And Cassidy played really well for Ardboe, great runners with the ball
Mulgrew could be turned into another Mattie ; he's really filling out for someone just 18! Coney is done ! Big Mcnulty and lee Brennan need to come in ! Ruairi Sludden another decent performer!

Anyone on here know much about Niall McElroy from Aghaloo? Very impressive against Moortown. Looked quite young but don't recall him playing on any county minor teams.
Also, Stephen Mullan from Omagh. Didn't give McAliskey much space. Similar to Danny Gorman very solid for Killyclogher again. Could be worth a look come McKenna Cup.
I'd say Mark Bradley and Sludden were the pick of the county players on show at the weekend.
I went out this past two weeks in search of a marquee full forward who would fit the bill for Tyrone . The only one capable of such a role is big Dan McNulty. The man could get us goals and points frees for fun! That's yer man Mickey so treat him well !

I actually thought Ardboe where the better team in the second half, mc guigan and dd mulgrew the main driving force. Just a lack of firepower up front cost them big time!
I agree entirely with you on this point . Ardboe had a couple of big names who let the rest down. Colm Mc Cullagh is another oldie but he stood up and was counted . Marty McKeown was a major loss to Ardboe as he was having the game of his life; a big strong lad who won't cow down to anyone !

can a linesman overrule an umpire on a score? it would have been our first score of the 2nd half and very much needed and the umpire gave it, so it  was a bit demoralising for the point to be overturned by a linesman. never seen it happen before. eskra were the far better side but i thought connolly was very sore on us especially in the first half. both refs today in dungannon were terrible overall imo.

Connolly from Aghyaran? Loves being centre of attention. He should stick to the soccer refereeing.

that's him. was brutal mate but not the reason we lost. was talking to a couple of newtownstewart men in front of me and they were still seething from the game he refereed between them and owen roes about a month ago. if its true what he said to the newtownstewart players he shouldn't be allowed to referee again. maybe he just doesn't like teams with stewart and town in their name lol

Most infuriating referee I have seen. Like I said wants to be centre of attention all the time. I swear he makes his own rules up
There's nobody makes rules up as much as a bollix Conroy from the Moy! He'd know more about Roisin Jordans bedroom antics than he'd know about the rules of Gaelic football !

Best I seen today was in Pomeroy a player did a block on another player when he was taking a free and ref let play go on... cant mind now which game it was .... was at that many today...
some money lifted fir the gravy train today ! Seen Cuthbert in Pomeroy and if he hadn't a ball of it in the trunks then he's superbly well endowed ! It's all about the money now; they're making a count out of the clubs ! I am going into bank in the morning to sort an overdraft to see me through to county final day! The GAA I Tyrone don't give wan f**k about the welfare of a player !money money money money money and more money money money ! They'll soon be playing the games in the middle of the night!

Yes, the linesman can call a wide or a score. Happened in Pomeroy tonight, Ardboe given a score that was definitely wide and linesman called ref to over rule it.
in your honest opinion how did you rate the ref in dromore Ardbie game ? I thought he was too far away from the play !

I seen the blonde bomber slouching about Dungannon today ! She had an executioners stare like Thatcher had ! I seen the guilt in her eyes about shafting poor Mickey ! What happens if Mickey shafted her ? Lot of pounds sterling gathered up around the venues today ! By the way I seen a map of the wee black north hanging behind the goals in O'Neill park ! What would have our own Thomas Clarke have thought about that !

Heard Ruairi Sludden was very impressive today. I remember him being a very good minor but from what I've heard he had had a few discipline problems and has been put off a few panels - think that was the case with u21s a few years ago.

Is he good enough to make it with the county?

Dromore and Killyclogher probably look the two teams most likely to win it out.
Eamon McHugh very poor today ! He denied Ardboe a stone wall penalty; was about 50'yards away from the incident but why can't he ask his assistants for help,! Had Ardboe scored the penalty it would have been all square and all to play for! I can say without fear of contradiction is that Coney will never don another Tyrone jersey unless he gets a game for the over 40s some time !

Word has it this evening that Omagh and Clonoe game could be played in Carrickmore tomorrow due to Dungannons pitch being unplayable/waterlogged. Inspection in the morning supposedly
That's a load of dung ! I am just aff the field and although it's a shit pitch it's perfectly playable .get there early and give Cuthbert your jolly lollies !

Spent millions on a wind farm in Garvaghy and our county ground is a disgrace
Club boi I don't know how often you are right but this time you have it nailed ! Our county ground is a shame ! Garvaghey must have been about a bitta money changing hands ! Land around there would nt be anymore than 3000 an acre ! How much was paid for the land Garvaghey is built on and who got all the money ?

I'm surprised that we haven't had the anti Martin sludden crowd on blaming him for the cancellation and the poor weather. Kildress are bound to be happy. They'll soon be able to claim that they made it into the last 5, although it's probably fair to say that this will upset the Carrickmore ones who felt they had this accolade in the bag.
Every time I am at a big game in Omagh there are at least a dozen wee men with yella coats on them and them all wearing the same wee hump on their shoulders. Did they not know to get a grape apiece and start pro going the pitch to let the water away. I am not joking you when I tell you I was drawing in the third cut of silage last night and my John Deere never made a mark on a field a kind ! I thought the county board were into weather checks ;sunsets and so on so they could get the matches played! I think it's time we had a new county ground at Ballygawley !
A county ground in Ballygawley/Garvaghy is good enough until you get to this time of the year and the goalies kickout doesn't get past the 45 with the wind!!
At least you could walk over to the turf bank and relieve yourself rather than standing in 6 inches of peesh in omagh ! Tyrone county board have a lot to answer for having no decent county ground ! They're talking about developing Dungannon ; a dump of the highest order !

Open the discussion a bit then, who is the best referee(s) in the county?  Who walks through your club gate and you think "I'm happy enough with that"?

Shane Meehan

That's hilarious, a clonoe man saying shane meehan is the best ref in the county. Absolutely shafted conor meyler 4 or 5 times last Sunday. He was like Damien cassidy's puppet.   Best refs in the county are mc Hugh and hurson
Don't blame me "in hiding" omagh went into "hiding " and hadn't the balls to go on the attack !
