As a result of privatisation NI Electricity is now owned by ESB. The loyalist workers in the power stations in Carrickfergus and Larne who were able to bring the place to a standstill in the 1970s at the drop of Paisley's hat must love that

God bless Thatcherism which created a nation of shareholders and which paved the way for huge private sector profits and salaries, the eventual purchase of all the major utilities- gas, water and electricity to foreign governments and now the need for taxpayer's to come back in to possibly bale them out. You couldn't make it up

There's gonna be loads of mortgage defaults, repossessions, property fire sales, former family homes bought by wealthy landlords and the rich get richer. Sad thing is that those who are caught are younger people who voted remain and the purchasers most likely Brexiteers

what the f**k are this band Sparks? never heard of them, a bizarre experience

They're not my cup of tea, but they were the subject of a recent Netflix doc., apparently very influential.

I was gonna make a smart arse comment about This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both If Us being my favourite song of theirs before discovering that it actually the same group from the 70s.

Only made public today. Rolf Harris died of neck cancer and "frailty of old age" at his home in Bray, Berkshire, on May 10 aged 93.

I'm guessing the burial spot will be kept from the public too.
I'm sure his family will be recognised when they attend the next Blessing of the Graves

You would think nurses didn't know that is was a famously underpaid profession when they signed up to be one. They are all the same with their loud mouth personalities when I was in hospital. Actually the thought of having to be around nurses makes me want to live a healthy lifestyle to avoid hospitals.
What a horrible comment. It is not fair to tar them all with the one brush. It is like any profession these days

+1    very sad individual to write something like that.

signed up two weeks ago, obvious troll.
Absolutely. I'm surprised folks even bothered to respond

True, but if you read my post you'd have noticed that I never mentioned the A5.  So not entirely sure of the relevance here.  ::)
My point had nothing to do with your comment let me assure you, rather it was directed at the poster who started the wind up which, as you pointed out, prompted some to take the bait. Sorry for any confusion there.

This one got a couple of decent bites anyway  ;D ;D ;D ;D
It did indeed. I'm from Armagh and thankfully I don't use the road on a regular basis, however the A5 is a very raw nerve for many people, particularly those who live close to it and have either lost loved ones or live in fear of losing loved ones, therefore I don't think it's fair for anyone to use it for wind up purposes.

Jesus after experiencing Clones for the last 2 matches, it just brings home the need to build the new Casement Park as soon as possible
