Reckon it will be a South American club...a feeder club

I heard someone mention a Portuguese team. I like that idea, then you get the best of both worlds...you've still got the south American link, easier to get work permits, player can acclimatize etc, but then you can also get first dibs on in the continent. The players Benfica, Porto and Sporting have sold in the last 10 years are insane.

Ya Portugal makes sense. All in all seems to be great news Edwards well thought of. Time will tell (he's still not Klopp no matter how good)

Hopefully a combo of Edwards, Hughes and Alonso can fill the massive void

Arsenal need to win this game tonight against Porto, so they can not just concentrate on their premier league games.

With Edwards back and Hughes coming in it looks like a strong support structure is there for the new manager. Edwards and Hughes know each other well so they should work well together. The new manager can concentrate on the coaching side, but also give his opinion and green light on target signings.  So although there are big shoes to fill, the new manager has every chance of succeeding, with the support in place and a strong squad and a brilliantly run academy system.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Apparently Edwards will also be involved in running whatever other football clubs FSG eventually adds to their portfolio. They're looking to expand like Red Bull or the City Group or Clearlake/Boehly.

From the Bunker

Relieved that Arsenal won their game last night - that's two extra games.
The quarter-final will be played across two legs on April 9/10 and April 16/17.
Arsenal play Villa on the 13th April. That will be a intense week for them.

Villa are playing crap.. I wouldn't look to Arsenal as being contenders based on their run in, which looks the worst of the 3
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Liverpool's biggest-margin win in Europe is an 11–0 victory over Strømsgodset in the 1974–75 European Cup Winners' Cup.  Currently 11-2 ahead.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Nice article by Andy Jones in The Athletic today on Conor Bradley's background with Aghyaran GAA and Finn Valley Athletics Club.

Atalanta in the QF. Winners go on to play Benfica/Marseille.

The Klopp/Alonso final is still in play
