So Sad!

Just watched the great Kris Kristofferson at Glastonbury via the BBC.  So sad to see him stumble through his greatest songs, his voice quavering and weak, a shadow of his younger self.  Time has taken its toll on him and really not unexpected as he is now 81.  I found it so sad I had to turn it over.

I googled to see if this was a one off situation but it appears that it is not, yet he is still being booked and touring even going on solo tours that expose his frailties.

I thought this was another Donald Trump thread.

A bit like you on the bus home from the bingo
Lee Harvey Oswald , your country needs you

Capt Pat

He is 81 and still performing live. I would say it is the opposite of sad.

No it was poor, stumbling through the set was terrible to see and hear. Great performer but even ten years ago the inlaws went to see him in Belfast and he was missing lines, cords and all sorts
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

If he wants to keep going who is going to tell him to stop?

Reminded me of Glen Campbell in the documentary Glen Campbell I'll be me, when his family took him on tour as Alzheimer's took him over, he was unable to finish the tour. Now in a home knowing no one and unable to speak.

If you get a chance watch the documentary. It is sad but informative on this awful disease.

Nothing sad about a long life. Frailty is simply a part of that.

Leonard Cohen Live in Dublin is one of my all time favourite albums. He'd have been around that same age.

A pair of cool b4stards. Whats there not to love about old artists still raging against the dying of the light? Is not what we all want to be trying to do. Respect the elderly folks
It's a lot easier to sing karaoke than to sing opera

Amen to that.

Fair play to him getting up there at 81 years of age. A legend
