A woman has been admonished after she admitted feeding her estranged husband a curry containing dog excrement.
Jill Martin, 47, pleaded guilty at Paisley Sheriff Court to culpable and reckless conduct against her husband Donald Martin in Newton Mearns.

Sheriff Susan Sinclair said her behaviour could have resulted in "extremely unpleasant consequences".

Defence solicitor Terry Gallanagh described the background as being "akin to an episode of Desperate Housewives".

Depute fiscal Margaret Dunnipace said that Mr Martin had prepared the curry and Mrs Martin laced the dish with excrement.

Mrs Dunnipace said after placing the dinner in front of her husband and watching him start to eat it, Mrs Martin burst out laughing before confessing.

The commander of the B-29 plane that dropped the first atomic bomb, on Hiroshima in Japan, has died.
Paul Warfield Tibbets Jr died at his home in Columbus, Ohio, aged 92.

The five-ton "Little Boy" bomb was dropped on the morning of 6 August 1945, killing about 140,000 Japanese, with many of them dying later.

On the 60th anniversary of the bombing, the three surviving crew members of the Enola Gay - named after Tibbet's mother - said they had "no regrets".

Right we want good straight forward recpies on this thread.

Baby spuds
Cut in half
Put in roasting tin
Good covering of Olive Oil
A pinch of sea salt
Give them a good shake
Max heat for 20-25 mins
Give them an odd good shake to stop them sticking.

Nice with a steak and a few onions. ;)

GAA Discussion / McIver to be named Donegal boss
September 26, 2007, 01:15:02 PM
BBC Website

Brian McIver is set to be ratified as Donegal football manager at next Monday's county board meeting.
It is believed that McIver has been given the nod by the five-man selection committee to take up the post he walked away from in mid-July.

McIver is understood to have beaten off the challenge of Charlie Mulgrew, Jim McGuinness and Donal Reid for the post.

McIver resigned in mid-July after Donegal's championship exit only to change his mind two weeks later.

McIver's decision to quit following the defeat by Monaghan had been something of a surprise as he had steered Donegal to the county's first ever Allianz National Football League title in April.

When he announced his decision to quit, McIver insisted he would not return to county management.

However, there has been speculation that his backroom team convinced him to change his mind.

Me thinks that every club on the web should detail its disabled facilities on their websites.

Perhaps Croke Park could come up with some sort of scheme awarding some sort of cert or logo to forward thinking clubs. This logo could be displayed at clubs and on websites. What da yas think? ???

When men were men and sheep (no hill subsidy)  were really gentle i have a vague recollection for the UUC jersey - skull and cross bones on the front - i thought that was cool 1989.

September 12, 2007, 09:29:33 PM
In the last three evening's i have had three different Clubs at the door with £20 tickets. Carmen, Errigal and some unlucky fellow from Armagh. Whats going on? I am getting afraid to answer the bloddy door.

I hate refusing anyone - but how do you say no?
