I was up in Meath Today for the Rosenallis game.
Hard luck to Rosenallis Lost to a late goal from Ratoath, Game went to extra time and the result could have gone either way once again a great display from the Rosenallis lads during the second half of extra time fatigue was certainly catching up with the Laois team I think this could have been their eight week in a row between football and hurling. They now have to travel to Scotland next weekend to play the all Ireland quarter final in football.

I believe that The Rock were at one time considering changing their name to
ROCKENALLIS

not exactly sure but apparently the Leinster council pay for up tp 25 players plus management team.

Rosenallis will now travel to play the UK champions  Manchester or Edinborough in the All Ireland quarter finals.
Next week they travel to Rathoath to play the leinster hurling semi final.
What a year for such a small club, their achievements so far are unbelievable and the manor in which they have represented Laois deserves huge credit best of luck to them.

Great win for Rosenallis in beating the Offaly champions in Tullamore.
To beat the Offaly champions in the Leinster Final in O'Connor park was a great achievement and a proud Day for Laois Football. Well done to all involved.

Good win for Rosenallis Today v Dublin champions.

Good win for Rosenallis in Westmeath Today, will now play the Offaly (Bracknagh) champions in the Leinster final. BTW Bracknagh were strong favorites to win the Leinster title at the start of the Championship, but Rosenallis will be think different and will take some beating.

Think  joseph's will be there or thereabouts in d next few years. They've won too many u21 championships in d last 7 or 8 years not to be contesting. Wouldn't it be good to see a parish type championship introduced early in the year n use it as the Kelly cup

St. Josephs are one club that never ever let the county down, just look at the players they have provided to wear the Laois jersey each and every one of them gave great service five or six families up there that have pure laois blood in the vains. A proud club that will rise again maybe sooner than you think.

Portlaoise had an easy victory and were never in trouble, the Arles Killeen Player sending off (deservedly so) really finished the game as a contest. Portlaoise a long way off what they are capable of producing maybe they have an eye on the Leinster Club Championship. Stradbally will improve in sharpness between now and the final their forwards were wasteful during the first half playing with a strong breeze. the second have Stradbally completely Dominated, Begley was completely in charge. I expect that ]Stradbally will give Portlaoise a stern test and if they hit it right on the Day could spring a surprise.

Good Fortune favors the brave, Stradbally were the braver, more determined team and the never say die attitude deserved the victory. I hope they give the Leinster a
good rattle and do the county proud. WELL DONE STRADBALLY A GREAT TRADITIONAL FOOTBALL CLUB ONCE AGAIN SITS ON TOP.

exhibition hurling from both sides To Day in the Snr. hurling final what a Classic.
Quality of hurling was top class and a joy to witness certainly puts pride into Laois hurling. Hope there was some prospective county managers there to witness what can be got out of Laois if the players commit. R/E will be the happier of the two with the result B/K just could not put them away. Referee did not deserve the booing from certain so called supporters at the end of the game. Overall I feel that referees are letting the game run a bit more this year than the did in the past, this is contributing to better hurling and less frustration from players.
I.H. Final last night also showed some future county hurlers.
James Young certainly got the best out of Slieve Bloom and they will be strong contenders for the Intermediate Championship next year.

Intermediate Hurling Final was a very one sides match Rosenallis were very comfortable winners. They have a number of very good hurlers No. 7, 13 and 16 were
the outstanding players. C/B had a few good individuals but did not perform as a team
the score line was a fair reflection of the game. Referee was good but it must be said that he had very little to do with the exception of late on when two C/B players got yellow cards for trying to take John Lennon out of the game.

Have to agree I thought  No. 4 (Fennell) for Rosenallis was outstanding for such a young player No. 8 (Callaly) was also very impressive the two players were the difference between the teams
Rosenallis are a very young side with fast competitive footballers. P.R. were at times outplayed but managed to hang in and created an number of chances to draw or win the game they are also a very good young team that will win championships in the future. Rosenallis bench was very strong especially No. 24 (Lennon) No.11 (Murray)
when introduced really strengthened things up.

Very impressed with Rosenallis, Camross tried every trick in the book to try and bring Rosenallis into a dog fight but Rosenallis played hurling right trough the game and did not allow Camross to drag them down. The Camross player that was red carded certainly deserved to be sent off the player in question was completely out hurled by John Lennon. the most sickining thing was the way a certain Camross mentor was clapping him in the back as he left the field. Thought the referee and his assistants were quiet good and especially the manor in which the referee let the play run.
