Oh er  ;D

What was that famous bit of Finbarr Saunders commentary again from years ago?

His surname's not "Holding" by any chance?  :o
Nope. But the Irish connection would explain why he's called Mick not Mike, as opposed to the more obvious reason
Don't Panic

In massive bother now - 97/4 with required run rate up round 7.5

Hardy

Stop this bandwagon. I want to get off.

deiseach

The run rate isn't the problem. Losing wickets is the problem.

deiseach

Double your runs total after 30 overs...240...I take it back, run rate is also a problem!

Owenmoresider

O'Brien getting going now, need 100 runs off 65 balls to win.

stephenite

These boys need to dig in, and also score quickly.

Not generally a complimentary combination

AZOffaly

95 off 60 needed now. It'll be tight. They'll have to loosen up, and that usually means wickets. But sure fuckit, no point being 20 runs short with 3 wickets remaining!

deiseach

First thrilling match of the tournament?

stephenite

They won't be far off this if Wilson stays

Why does it take so long between balls? What are they at, strolling around, chatting, looking, stopping, scratching, ambling back, changing their minds, another chat, etc? I thought the idea of one-day cricket was to jazz the thing up a bit. If they went at a reasonable pace surely they could fit twice as many balls/overs into a day?
