General discussion / The Official Daddies Club
July 09, 2014, 09:02:06 AM
I haven't seen a daddies/parents thread on here- if I have missed it let me know and I will delete.

My little girl is 17 months old now- she was a great sleeper until the last two weeks, went to her own cot and stayed there all night- she is getting her back teeth and its very sore on her at night. Using salts, gel and paracetamol etc. She now screeches when you leave her down in the cot- wants out won't lie down- no comforting her- screeches when you go to leave the room- it's like she is scared- happened all of a sudden. Whenever we do get her to sleep she usually wakes about 2 O'Clock to the same scenario.
She's been in our bed this last two weeks now-something I hate but at that time of the morning anything for peace. Mrs chalks it all down to teeth but I have my doubts that after this phase of teething that she will revert back to normal.

Anyone experience anything similar? We have people coming around tonight and they will be there through her bedtime. I am planning to have to go out for something and take her in the car where she will fall asleep.

General discussion / TARRED

Anyone got any tarring around their house done recently? What are the prices like? Have a fairly hefty area to cover.

Someone has also advised me that coloured concrete 'is a good owl job'. Any thoughts.

QuoteA telescopic forklift has been used in an early morning raid on a cash machine in Donaghmore. The long armed machine was used to remove the ATM at an Emo service station on the edge of the village on the Pomeroy Road. Police were alerted to the raid at 4am this morning (Wednesday), arriving on the scene at 5am and sealing it off. The forklift, which was armed with two prongs, was found close by on the Gortnagola Road, which links Donaghmore with Galbally. Local SDLP Councillor Jim Cavanagh said people will be "shocked at hearing what happened in such a quiet, rural area". Appealing for anyone with information to contact police, he said, "This lawlessness has to be combated, not just by the police but the entire community." - See more at: http://ulsterherald.com/2014/03/26/digger-used-in-donaghmore-atm-raid/#sthash.ggvUAQlX.dpuf

QuoteA 'significant amount' of money has been stolen from a Tesco cash machine after thieves dug a 50ft tunnel to gain access to it.

Officers believe the thieves may have spent a number of months digging the tunnel because of the amount of planning involved and the complex nature of the underground structure.

The theft occurred at 6am last Friday at the Liverpool Road Tesco Express in Eccles, Greater Manchester, and police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

'These people had obviously spent a long time plotting this crime and I doubt they would have been able to keep their plans secret for all that time, without telling others about their elaborate scheme,' explained DS Mark Toker.

Thieves tunnelled under nearby wasteland and took cash boxes from the shop before escaping back down the tunnel.

'The offenders must have spent long periods of time in the area over the last few months, which people may have noticed,' said DS Toker.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen people 'covered in soil' in the area (Picture: Greater Manchester Police)

'You may have seen people acting suspiciously on Friday night, possibly covered in soil.'

Similar tunnel burglaries have occurred in the Greater Manchester area in the past with the perpetrators dubbed the 'mole gang' – although police have not confirmed if this latest incident is linked.

How much would be in an ATM?

General discussion / Board Games

So the game goes like this.

One person says a line from a song:
Eg
'Top to toe in tailbacks...'

Then the next person comes in with another line of a different song that relates to the previous.
Eg the response to the above could be:
'You've got a fast car I wanna a ticket to anywhere Maybe we make a deal Maybe together we can get somewhere'

General discussion / Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme
October 30, 2013, 09:31:13 AM
Any accountants/HR/Payroll Clerks out there?

I am having serious problems trying to set up an Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme.
I was talking to a Financial Advisor who has informed me that a lot of big providers are washing their hands of it due to the amount of administration and legislation surrounding it. It basically isn't profitable enough for the amount of work they have to do.

We have a go live date of 1 April 2014.

Anyone else having this problem?
