God, Referees have no cop on! Even in the Ladies game there, a cork girl does a sin bin tackle. Time is running out and he proceeds to spend a minute doing the paperwork (there was two minutes left before incident). In the meantime the clock is running down and instead if he let it go Dublin would have had a minute more to get a goal. But instead the culprit team are rewarded. So is sport!

2 five in a row`s, knew they had to be a decent team come out of Cork at some level

Good luck to the Mayo Women v Dublin this evening!

If Dublin don't win it this year they may give up.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Good game. In the melting pot with 7 to go

From the Bunker

Great effort by a young team! Unlucky in the end.

Dublin more clinical in front of goal. Great effort from the Mayo team to get back level, pity they couldn't see it out.

The two soft goals in the first half left us with to much to do. Great effort. Staunton unlucky to have goal ruled out - But probably right decision.

I thought it was either a penalty or a goal.

Nothing from the two 45s at the end was poor when they were looking for a winner.

From watching lads football all the time it's hard to get into the mindset of what constitutes a free/foul in the ladies game.

And a lot of referees don't know either. In ladies football you can not tackle while the ball is being held in against the ball carriers body. Only when they attempt to play the ball may you tackle the ball. It is, in theory, a non contact sport.

Syferus

There was a massive effort in Mayo this year to try and get Cora one more AI before she retired. There was an opening as Cork are definitely less dominant than they have been in recent years this season. That game was there for Mayo to take in the final ten minutes.

There's lots to be admired about the ladies game but they have a tackle rule that is even less enforceable than the men's unless you want a totally non-contact game. It's odd though as the rulebook tackle is clearly not what's enforced.

Same as the men's so
