Unfortunately Emmet Bolton's petulant kick on Diarmuid O Connor has put paid to O Connor's chances unless he has a mighty final. One of the nastiest incidents of the year. Unpunished and really set back O Connor when he was flying. He gave some of the best performances I ve seen in U21 grade this year.

If he's not fit he shouldn't be on the field and the manager is a proper joker in that case - hence we have to assume he's been fit. Looks more like the lost kid he did in his first two years at senior than the player he looked v Dublin last year. Like his brother consistency from play is an issue and unlike his brother he doesn't have frees to paper over the cracks.

Doesn't deserve an All-Star even if he was MotM in the final imho.

Oh dear. You obviously cannot make a distinction between fit and coming back from injury and getting up to speed and form.
Unfortunately in Mayo we don't have a conveyor belt of forward talent like Roscommon does and we have to go with players that are not quite at their best.

If he's not fit - and fit means being able to play football at a high level not being physically fit - so if you're telling me he wasn't ready to go you've indicted Rochford. There's two options - Rochford is playing players who shouldn't be starting or the player in question is having trouble maintaining form. I thought he had a quiet U21 championship bar the Dublin match too.

We learnt our lessons about playing injured players this year and a lot of people clamouring for the lads not fit enough to start were somehow surprised when the same lads didn't make an impact when thrown on against Clare..

Rochford clearly doesn't know what he is doing,  Sufferus to get the gig in his beloved Mayo next year and take man management and player welfare to a degree that will put Jim Gavin to shame

The Dub full back line is there for the taking. 2 goals before half time and Mayo could be on their way.

Neither of which were really the full back line's fault.

Whist, hold up, the games top analyser has spoken, if he says the full back line weren't at fault then who are we to disagree, as usual he was spot on again with today's prediction, I believe that was that the Dubs would hammer Kerry, spot on again sir!

There was a massive effort in Mayo this year to try and get Cora one more AI before she retired. There was an opening as Cork are definitely less dominant than they have been in recent years this season. That game was there for Mayo to take in the final ten minutes.

You getting all excited about Mayo as usual, when you going to call off the pretence and admit you have a serious thing for all things rhubarb?

Good news for Kerry.
Syfín has announced on stolensheep that Dublin will hammer "Mayo" in the Final. ;D

Mayo's name is on the cup so, but he will be delighted with that, who wouldn't want to see their county win the all ireland

When all is said and done it will be the same as normal, majority of all stars will be Dublin and Roscommon galacticos.

Dublin have such an easy route to win back-to-back AIs. Mayo will not trouble them.

I would be very worried now if I was a dub because as everyone knows Sufferus doesn't know his arse from his elbow when it comes to gaa or anything else for that matter.

Syferus must be delighted with that, another all ireland appearance for his favourite county and his hero Andy will start the final, did you know he went to the same school as him as well!?

If I was a Mayo person then I would be confident that this could be the year for ye because Syferus doesn't think Mayo will win it, as we have seen pretty much every time in the past the opposite happens to what Syferus reckons.

Sufferus must be ecstatic after that, his beloved Mayo are in the all ireland final in his head.

Cavanagh's gone

He was no good anyways today, Syferus must be giddy with excitement now at the prospect of his Mayo winning.

I think the referee has been good

Gough is the best ref in the sport. Thankless job having to ref Tyrone in full sledging and belting mode. Mayo battering back but they're just playing into Tyrone's hands with the macho bullshit.

You must be happy enough how that first half went for your beloved Mayo

Tipperary will now get one All Star minimum, I'd say Quinlivan has been their most impressive player to date.

Very premature to be talking about Tipp being guaranteed an All-Star at this stage.
Teams don't win All-Stars, players do.
Loads of football to be played yet.

98% of the football for the year is in the bank. Damning indictment of the All-Stars that only the games that are left will really factor in judging.

Will the galacticos make it a clean sweep and get all 15 positions?

Thank you Tipp and Galway for reminding me that Gaelic Football can be an enjoyable game to watch.  Probably the most enjoyable and open game this year - It would be great if other teams took a page out of Tipps book and just played football instead of the blanket garbage....

The derry match would probably go down as a better match in terms of eveness and drama......this isnt me getting carried away but we completely blew galway away yesterday. It was the type of performance dublin give while brushing teams aside only we werent anywhere near as clinical and didnt have our shooting boots on, without exaggerating we could really have scored 6-20+.......im obviously not stupid enough to be comparing ourselves to dublin in terms of quality and it was as much down to galway but we were brilliant yesterday from 1 to 15. Our kickouts were absolutely spot on, thats something thats really had to been worked on all this year, evan always has had a big boot but the accuracy yesterday was pin point apart from maybe one kickout. Mayo or tyrone wont allow us the same time on the ball (over 60% possession) and we certainly wont run through them at will like we did to galway, confidence is sky high at the minute, it will be very interesting to see if we can raise our game against a team who bring a much higher level of intensity

Cracking result for ye yesterday Tippabu, was delighted for ye, congrats.

Galways horrible record in Croker continues.

Roscommon been shown up as a shockingly poor football team continues also
