Renewing the terraces is exactly what happened at PUC and you have the ridiculous scenario were the stadium still cost an absolute fortune yet half of it looks straight out of the fifties. The GAA have notoriously overpaid for shoddy work, paid top dollar for new stands and got little return. I often use the example of the new stand at McHale and the new stand at Leicester tigers, both built at the same time for the same money, like wtf. I'll try and put some pics up later as I'm busy at work. At least this time it will need to be up to UEFA standards so the cowboys will have to up their game with the build.

Half of every team are cheating ball bags these days hence why I have lost a lot of interest in football

Watched Nolan last night. He is an awful bollix for stirring. The casement debate about costs was split up with a piece about how there is no funding for special needs schooling. As if to say you have to choose one or the other ffs

Quote from: J70 on February 21, 2024, 02:39:59 PMI enjoyed True Detective 4. Wasn't the greatest tv series ever, but it was decent enough.

Started that Dornan one set in Australia, The Tourist. 2 episodes in. Is it worth sticking with?

The tourist was enjoyable but the last episode of series 2 was pure shite, a real let down of an ending for an otherwise entertaining 2 seasons

Disappointed with those figures to be honest. Lucid talk is pretty accurate unlike the NILT survey or the Pete Shirlow bog roll survey from Liverpool university. A few yrs ago lucid talk and lord Ashcroft had UI polling well into the 40's and actually even ahead of UK in some polls. The breakdown shows UI more popular in the under 45's but it's the over 55's were all the damage is done with only 28% pro UI. I would say sure just a bit more of a wait but the worrying thing is I'm not far off that 55 age bracket myself ;D. With the don't knows out it's 56 44 so still pretty tight and hard to call on the day. Interesting to see the green voters are overwhelmingly nationalist whereas alliance is a bit more of a mixed bag

Quote from: JPGJOHNNYG on February 10, 2024, 09:14:54 PMThis being held up over the line makes such a difference. The attacking team have to be a bit smarter over half chances. Back in the day fail to score they get 5m scrum and another go, now the defense get to boot it back up to the half way line.
I felt they rushed it and went for broke on a half chance when they could have held on a bit and  worked a better option.

Teams need more patience. No better example than kelleher going alone against NZ. We had a man up and with a bit more time would have scored. Scotland are unlucky but no sympathy for them. That kicking tennis they were doing was a painful watch

Was out today so just watched the matches. 4 poor teams today. Ireland won't get a better shot at retaining a grand slam
