Yeah, we whizzed through it. Happy enough with my group overall, time will tell I suppose.

Wasn't mad about my draft to be honest. Pretty much knew who I would be drafting anywhere from 1-7 or 8. Of course I ended up at spot 10 and it meant drafting players at the top of the draft that I didn't really want but had to take anyway if you know what I mean. Threw a spanner in the works immediately. Could have been a great draft after that but when you don't like your first couple of picks it sours you on it.

Got in done in and hour though. Thought it would take an hour and a half.

Shit. My rankings didn't work! Drafting 6th based on what was picked in front of me it should have taken Brady.

Must've set it up wrong.

Bum. There's hardly a player on my team that I would've picked.

Wasn't mad about my draft to be honest. Pretty much knew who I would be drafting anywhere from 1-7 or 8. Of course I ended up at spot 10 and it meant drafting players at the top of the draft that I didn't really want but had to take anyway if you know what I mean. Threw a spanner in the works immediately. Could have been a great draft after that but when you don't like your first couple of picks it sours you on it.

Got in done in and hour though. Thought it would take an hour and a half.

I completely understand. I was the same and got to draft at 9 in another draft last week and its not easy. I went for Larry Fitz as well in that one by the way. Think you did a solid job overall and will be one of the ones to beat as usual.

I was happy enough with my draft. I decided on my strategy and then used ESPNs PPR rankings to help me along. A bit disappointed in my QB situation, and that's where a late pick helps. In my other draft I got Tom Brady at 9. Then I was able to pick a good RB at 12.

Still and all, if my team were to line up in the morning against an NFL team I'd be happy

Picking at the turn isn't too bad most years but this year I think there is a drop off after the first 7 or 8 players off the board. The top 4 RB's were gone, the top 3 QB's and the top WR who's on a level by himself. Means you just have to take the best of what's left which is a level below those 7 or 8 players.

Stafford and Newton were gone by the time the pick came around to me again so at that stage I figured I might as well just wait to pick a QB later. Took a gamble on Peyton Manning but knew I had to back him up quickly with someone decent like Roethlisberger as who knows what shape Manning will be in if he takes a bad hit.

That is true about a drop off after 7 or 8 players. Fitz needs a decent QB to be elite and McFadden is risky. Peterson and Jones Drew would also have been good top ten picks if they didn't have their different issues.

I took both the Johnsons who should bounce back after poor years. Vick and the eagles will be better this year too. I had Cruz ranked 13 on my board and got him at 27

Turner at 47 was a steal I thought. He has an easy schedule in terms of run defenses this year but he doesn't make catches in a ppr league. I was also happy with McGahee who may get more catches this year in a hopefully explosive offense with Peyton throwing the ball.

I can only speak for myself but I took a back up running back McGahee and back up QB Rivers over a starting tight end as O knew I could get Tamme and Rudolph for the tight end slot later on. Rivers and McGahee I figured were more important players. Only the computer auto pick fills all the starting slots first.
