Individual match threads for Armagh & Tyrone games, but no real space to chat about the less important teams.

Disappointingly one sided game this afternoon.

What exactly has McGinley been doing with Antrim? There was a narrative out there that he'd made them more organised and more consistent, but that was the same old flakey, clueless Antrim. Cavan probably made look better than they are, but definitely seem to have a bit of momentum building. They should give Armagh or Donegal a decent challenge the next day out.

Paddy Lynch looks like a player.
Doc would listen to any kind of nonsense and change it for you to a kind of wisdom.

Cavan have a much stronger spine. All 6 of them would have the talent and conditioning to push for a starting spot in any county in Ireland.

Antrim don't have anything close to that.

Cavan also have a culture of a big championship game, if not too often a campaign.

Honestly don't think it's any more complicated than that.

Should be noted that this set of Cavan players have a vastly superior Ulster Championship record to the current set of Armagh players, including head to head. Talk of Cavan giving Armagh a decent challenge is perplexing.

I was watching this game on a chipped fire stick today and was thinking that the graveyard in the background was very bad planning by either the pitch people or the graveyard people. It is very off-putting seeing a funeral going on whilst trying to take a free and ones crying.

If it is good enough for Roscommon then it is good enough for Antrim.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Antrim would not be well supported in the city and the price of diesel would put Cavan ones off.

Antrim aren't well supported in general. They demanded it was in Corrigan as did their pals in media and then had poor support there.

Jim Bob

When buying tickets what is the age range for juveniles ?

Olly

As long as they have a bank account they can buy tickets too.

Looking at those figures you think that Donegal completely dominated over the last 10years, but ultimately they have 4 Ulsters, Tyrone having won less than half the amount of games as Donegal have 3 titles, and Monaghan who have also won more games than Tyrone only have 2 titles to their name.

Its certainly grim reading for the bottom 4 teams, and especially the two propping up the table.
Just having a look at the teams that Derry have been beaten by in the last 10years:

2021 - Donegal
2020 - Armagh
2019 - Tyrone
2018 - Donegal (Ulster Champs)
2017 - Tyrone (Ulster Champs)
2016 - Tyrone (Ulster Champs)
2015 - Donegal
2014 - Donegal (Ulster Champs)
2013 - Down
2012 - Donegal (All-Ireland Champs)

The ulster championship is not as great as some like to go on about its been dominated by tyrone and donegal mostly i think tyrone or donegal  have been in the last 10 finals and a lot iofthe time when one was not in it they knocked each other out.

Eire90

2008 the last time we had a non donegal/tyrone final
