Think he said that the Ireland players were as good as the Inter Milan players. Utter nonsense of course. Unfortunately some fans buy into everything he says and it looks like the expectations for Trapattoni are going to be unrealistically high.

Not what he was saying at all.  He was on about the level of performance that the players would give.

I take particular exception to there being a rule against attempting to identify people, thats going very far.

Its fair enough for people to have the right of anonymity on forums such as this but I do think that right is often taken too far. A decent rule of thumb would be that you shouldn't post anything on the board that you wouldn't stand over in real life. Unfortunately too many people use the board to carry out personal grudges or vendettas against people they may or may not know.
