Quote from: imtommygunn on May 16, 2024, 09:32:34 AMWho are the injuries other than McGrogan?

McEvoy & Conor Doc is the news going around. Which if true is a massive blow to us and tips the scales in the direction of Galway.

Sorry forgot to include Murphy in that who is still injured by all accounts.

They slap AI on everything now as a marketing gimmick. From TVs, fridges, washing machines etc. None of that contains true AI. Very little actually does.

Quote from: p3427977 on May 14, 2024, 12:50:48 PMWhen will the fixtures be confirmed?

The GAA are f'ing useless at planning ahead. All we have is an idea of the weekend each of the teams will be playing. It's ludicrous that they can't publish for all these group games the exact day and time they'll be played and the venues for all the netural games. It's not rocket science. It gives people a chance to plan rather than waiting until each round has been played before announcing the day and time for the next round of games. Surely that is a PR own goal? Am I missing something around that?

Quote from: tyroneman on May 12, 2024, 06:35:21 PM4 ahead....should be game over. That was sone opportunity for Armagh.

Bang on. Took the fear instead of pushing on. Same old Armagh.

Quote from: omagh_gael on April 30, 2024, 03:20:08 PMTyrone be happy with that draw, short drive to ulster winner and should have more than enough for clare and Cork. Draw from hell for Derry.

Definitely a tough draw for us but the only advantage to be had is from winning the group, so from that perspective avoiding Dublin and Kerry is most welcome.
It's hardly a draw from hell. If we can't beat Westmeath we don't deserve to be in last 12. In terms of topping the group, I'd prefer the Connacht winners to any other province. Ulster runner up will be a tough one but we should have plenty of motivation to play either of those teams.

Some people esp the media just love cliches particularly "the group of death".

Is the draw solely broadcast on GAA GO or is it on radio anwyay as well?

And 13 people on this forum think Armagh will win the AI. Tyrone and Donegal will be licking their lips to get to an Ulster final now.

Quote from: An Watcher on April 26, 2024, 07:23:18 AMStumbled across this show Manifest on Netflix.  First few episodes not bad but seen there are over 50 of them.  Not sure whether to stick with it

That's a sure signal to avoid. Easier to watch 50 episodes if you have been watching them all along but for me that's a struggle to get into anything if it's that far on.

Some people can't understand simple instructions.

Yes i understood the original instruction. Sincere apologies for cutting to the chase. It would be far quicker just saying how many countries people have visited rather than having a 100 page thread to get to the answer

That was in jest btw...and yes I'd agree on just having one list.

Quote from: Pub Bore on April 23, 2024, 10:03:52 AMFor all the blather about "Michelle and Emma" and a bright future for NI, it's 2024 and the British are still trying to suppress the truth.  25 people involved in this murder, most of whom were loyalist touts, RUC and UDR members.

Excellent programme that showed the devastation visited on families during the Troubles.

And one active member of the RIR allegedly..

Is your man Swinger Fulton still alive?

He is dead over 20 years ago. Rotting in hell.

Quote from: LeoMc on April 23, 2024, 09:32:00 AMI knew a lot of the story but what got me was the State going after the Coroner, a respected senior judge, for revealing to the families the number of state agents involved.
Quote from: NAG1 on April 23, 2024, 09:33:19 AMPowerful programme but don't think anything that wasn't already in the public domain came out of it. Still very important for the family to keep this in the headlines and keep the pressure on.

Wasn't only the cameras on the police station in Toome that weren't working that night, some of the 'locals' in Bellaghy also had mysterious malfunctions.

Horrible times.

There may not have been anything new in it to anyone who knew anything about this. But, I bet many people in the South from both GAA and non-GAA backgrounds probably didn't know much about this story, if anything. In particular the level of a dirty war that was being engaged by the Brits against Northern Catholics and the steps they went to to cover this up. Right the way to the top of the British government. But sure then it was all in our heads!

The utmost respect for the Brown family for what they had to endure at that time and in the intervening years since.
