Think it has already been said here but Division 2 is extremely tight. There must be 11 teams in which any one of them could still go down.

Edendork conceded again in league very strange

Two late goals seal the JFC Championship for Cookstown against Eskra, 2-10 to 1-6. 🏆
The start of another All Ireland adventure?

They must have wrapped up for the season. Getting things in place for another tilt at the intermediate championship next season. Next years intermediate league/Championship will be hot and heavy. Those that get promoted to senior will have a big task.

Have Edendork pulled the pin?  If so, unbelievable that with 3 county starters on their team.  Bad form.  Do they be fined or anything for failing to field? There is still 4 league games left like.

Backboned by 3 players who were outstanding in the All-Ireland Final and they can't field a team. Poor stuff.

Morgan didn't play for Dungannon Swifts at the weekend, away on a stag do, could explain why Edendork didn't field

Believe the 3 county  stars havent been bothered with the club since the Coalisland loss.

Edendork's squad strength and depth isn't there. Barton would have complained about that in past interviews. Without those county men they would probably struggle in intermediate. 3 of the best players in the country so obviously a massive loss but the replacements in the squad not close to that level to compete. Surprising that they have lay down thou. They should still fulfill fixtures despite their fate already determined.

A fine probably is appropriate, or a better sanction to deter this kind of thing in the future would be a points deduction for next season.

Can't make up the rules at this stage but maybe something the CCC should consider for next season

Watched the Junior Final last night - first of all let me extend my congratulations to our Neighbours on their win - it will be great to meet again next year although for a while on Sunday our team had notions about winning the intermediate league :D However being good neighbours we've re opened the door for the Billy Goats. :D

Cookstown worth the win unlike the fee for the stream. Wasn't a great game but Eskra didnt show enough in the 2nd half and Cookstown finished strong with good subs.

Just picked out the top 5 teams and their league games left.

Carrickmore
- D' Laughan
- Lmacrory
- Edendork
- Clonoe
- Errigal

Moy
- Errigal
- Donaghmore
- K'clogher
- Edendork

Dromore
- Donaghmore
- Galbally
- Omagh
- Dungannon

Loughmacrory
- Carrickmore
- Pomeroy
- Trillick
- Killyclogher

Clonoe
- C'island
- Omagh
- Carrickmore
- Eglish

All about championship of course but for teams not involved anymore the league offers something to play for and a reward for hard work all year. Should be an interesting run in.

Under Lights

More interested in the relegation run in

What happened in the dungannon and errigal match yesterday, i hear rambo tried to write the headlines again... penciled down a score for dungannon in his book instead of errigal and swung the scoreline to dungannon by 1, i hear it should of been errigal by 1

Edendork are in the same boat as ourselves. We just don't have the strength and depth or playing numbers to replace 3 county men and that's the way its always going to be. Unfortunately we dont have the luxury of having 2/3 primary schools or 2/3 primary school classes of the one age to develop players from. For that reason teams like ourselves, galbally, derrylaughan, eglish, greencastle, Aghyaran, kildress etc. will continue to yo yo from division 1 to 2. Every so many years these teams will produce a crop of players that are able to compete in division 1 but ultimately will again drop to division 2.

Outside of the big towns there can't be too many clubs (bar EC) with 2/3 primary schools exclusively for that club or indeed primary schools that house 3 classes per year - surely that is only in the big towns or EC. The clubs with county players are right to feel hard done by, I agree totally but what is the alternative.
In the case of Pomeroy, at least your county men came back match fit - some clubs got their county men back totally lacking game time & match fitness and off the pace.
Tyrone are going to be a contending county for the next few years so I don't know how clubs with county men are going to cope - unfortunately some clubs will suffer that wee bit more than others but there is no alternative solution provided yet.
