Wicklow 14/1
Round 1 fixtures

Limerick v Longford
Fermanagh v Antrim
Sunday 30th
Louth v Laois
Westmeath v Wicklow
I reckon that there will be plenty and thrills and spills here.
I think for the drop will be Limerick and Antrim
For the promotion spot def Westmeath and I would pump for Fermanagh.
I think we'll remain in mid-table obscurity.
(Antrim person) I really hope you are wrong. I think there may be more in Limerick too. I do think we look better under Enda McGinley and could avoid the drop. I am not sure Fermanagh will be strong enough for promotion either - I think they have dropped off a lot.

Best of luck imtommygunn.
Maybe we all should simply hope Laois and Louth get relegated!!!!
ABA - anyone but antrim ;D
It'll be an interesting division. I have no idea where we would stand relative to Longford for example and probably could say the same for most counties in there. You maybe have more context as there are a lot of Leinster counties in there. I do suspect the division will be very competitive. If we have progressed under McGinley then I think mid table or if we revert to type bottom but I am hopeful on the former!
I would be surprised if Laois get relegated. Louth really depends. They are a possibility but it depends how they take to Harte longer term.
Antrim are an improved side, was a good win over Down in McKenna cup. Laois also had a good win over Kildare tonight. I'd agree Fermanagh have dropped off a bit. Be interesting if Harte has made anything of Louth also.
Looking like a very hard division to call.
Wicklow probably favourites to be relegated (I'd be delighted if they avoided it myself) and maybe Westmeath looking like the team to beat.
Hopefully, we (Laois) can get off to a good start in Ardee on Sunday. Would settle for a dirty, hard fought, one point win!
Definitely a hard division to call. Can't see any one team running away with it. Most of the teams are capable of beating each other. From a Fermanagh perspective I'm obviously hoping they push for promotion but hard to gauge where they are at. Donnelly is a big loss. Would expect Ryan Jones and possibly Stephen McGullion to come in for the Antrim game. A young team in the main with plenty of potential but worried about Antrim on Saturday.

Make no mistake about it that is a poor a Fermanagh performance I have seen in Brewster park in a long while.
Antrim were well worth the win.
Our midfield was destroyed by Mick McCann who just waltzed around Brewster Park like he owned the place. He should have been sent off for a second yellow in the first half but the referee bottled it .
We butchered three goal opportunities in the first half but once Antrim had the goal we just capitulated.
Antrim very well drilled. Know where and how to foul .
Kept Fermanagh outside the 45 for most of the game and away from the scoring zones. They isolated Eastwood time and time again and he either scored or set up the majority of Antrim scores..
Fermanagh players didn't look like they wanted to move the ball quick, preferring to go backwards and sidewards as they don't have anybody up the pitch.
Massive game week away to Wicklow
Lose that and we are relegated
FT
Louth 1-10
Laois 3-09
Big win for Laois
This is definitely a tough division to call.
Longford were very poor in the first half against Limerick but improved in the second half.
The new man will need to patch up the defence and start his best forwards for the visit of Louth next Sunday or else we're looking at a relegation dogfight........
Promising start for Antrim. Expect us to be very competitive in this division. Survival for a year was the priority, but I think that mindset has switched to let's give this a proper lash and see where it takes us. I've been round too many corners with Antrim teams who have failed to kick on, but this group from management down look to have the tools to do that. The visit of Limerick on Saturday to Belfast will provide a stern test for sure of where we are.

LIMERICK 2.09 ANTRIM 0.11
Big result that for Limerick.
They are always hard to beat. Disappointing :(
A low grade game of football which ended in a draw.
Longford 0-09
Louth 1-06
The conditions were bad - but the football was worse. I suppose a draw is a fair result as Louth were ahead for 95% of the game. Longford got the noses in front but the ref, having signaled 5 mins of added time at the end - decided to play almost 8.
Louth got the equaliser the last kick of the game.
One of these 2 are almost certain for the drop.

Wouldn't be to sure about that .
Reports from Aughrim today were that Wicklow were poor.
Fermanagh had the game won, tried their best to lose it and were lucky to get a point.
Think it's between the 4 of us
Heavy snow in Enniskillen this morning.
Unless there is a quick thaw, the Fermanagh v Laois game might have to be called off
Fermanagh v Laois is off.
Interesting fixture list in Div 3 next weekend - very hard to predict.
Limerick will be favourites but Wicklow might shade it in Aughrim.
Laois at home will be favourites but it would be no great surprise it Antrim comes out on top.
Hard to predict Longford v Fermanagh - Longford have a good home record.
Louth had a good away over Limerick and Mickey Harte will have them well primed but I think Westmeath will be too strong.
Fermanagh beat Longford 3-11 to 1-10.
Louth beat Westmeath .
Div 3 is wide open .

Louth beating Westmeath certainly opens it up a bit.
Westmeath 0-10 Longford 0-14 Final score
Currently Fermanagh 3-10 Laois 2-07 with 15 minutes left
Fermanagh 3-15 Laois 3-09
This division is tight.
Wicklow look gone with 1 point .
Laois and Longford second bottom with 3 points , Westmeath on 4, Louth, Fermanagh and Antrim on 5 , Limerick on 6.
Longford are in Belfast this Sat. I may not have the car on Sat. I've been to Corrigan Park before but is it walkable to from Belfast Central train station?

That's what I meant - that he'd charge me a fortune...........not that I'd get a 'back of the head' job.
I wasn't aware of the Glider. What stop would I get off at?

If there's a falls park stop you've a reasonably handy stop to dander up and also it says it connects to central train stop there too so you should just be fit to hop on that. (The stops are pretty obvious and I *think* you can buy tickets with card etc at them.)

Aye the closest stop would be at the school then double back on yourself and dander up the Whiterock, or go for the full experience and head to Castle street (or King street is where its based now) and get a proper bate up black hack going up the Whiterock, don't say "next stop" just tap the window outside Corrigan

Thanks for all the assistance lads. Looks like I will have the car.
It's a crunch weekend for Division 3. Talk about a Group of Death!!
It will likely come down to the last game for most counties...........

Half time Antrim 1-11 Longford 0-3. Antrim raced into a 1-4 to no score lead after 10 minutes. Not a good trip for Shamrock Shore and other Longford supporters.
1-19 to 0-12 it finished.
Limerick 1-06 Westmeath 1-12

Winner of Fermanagh Louth tomorrow will be right in the promotion battle - loser tomorrow will probably be out of luck in terms of promotion.
Laois Longford on the last day looking like a possible relegation decider.
Wicklow looking gone as unlikely to get the results to overtake both of them.
Antrim Westmeath looking like a potential promotion decider.
Very tight going into the last 2 and a half rounds.
Louth beat Fermanagh 2-12 to 0-13.
Goals win games and we keep giving them away.
Between ourselves, Laois and Longford now to go down I would think.
We have two very tough games away from home
Two points separate top of table and Laois in 6th.
Still all to play for.
Limerick 0-15
Laois 0-14
Full time
Some result for Limerick.
That's them top.
Laois now in serious bother .
Good result for Limerick in their push for promotion. Battle on Laois hands to avoid relegation, play Longford in their final game.
Fermanagh and Westmeath draw.
Fermanagh had a perfectly good point waved wide.
Westmeath missed a last minute one on one .
Less said about the referee the better.
Wicklow beating Longford is a big shock.
Louth beating Antrim I think means Louth are promoted
Fermanagh are now safe and have nothing to play for next weekend away to Limerick .

Not if you were there!! Absolute muck from Longford and deserved to lose.
Waved to the Fermanagh bus driver as the bus passed through Edgeworthstown on the way to Mullingar.
Proved to be the highlight of my afternoon.

Cost us a chance to go up next week.
Shocking decision and poor from the other officials not to correct him. It's not like it's one of those contentious kicks that are high up the posts and the referee probably had the best view of it.
Ah, that looks bad,
Amazingly if we beat Laois on Sunday we can avoid the drop.
But, at the moment, we would struggle against Laos.

He took a lot of steps, reminded me of Kev Mc vs Donegal a few years back. But the ref didn't call the steps, so yeah a terrible decision. You'd wonder how that would not get picked up. Umpire was in a good spot. Ref would have had the perfect view of it too
Jazes lads. That was close.
Survival never felt so good.
Kenneth Branagh will have to make a fillum of the 2022 season before he retires.

Antrim are not div 2 standard yet. Another year competing in div 3 will stand to them better than losing 7 games in div 2.

We were much better today than the last 2 games v Wicklow and Antrim.
Thankfully.
Cavan and Offaly back to play with us next year. Looking forward already.

Half time Louth 0-6 Limerick 0-7
Louth not contesting kick-outs, giving up easy possession
Impressive 2nd half showing from Louth 1-14 to 0-12 winners. Their first Div 3 title since 2011.
1-6 to 0-2 for Louth last 15 or so minutes.
At least this time the Cup wasn't taken off them!
Fantastic from Mickey Harte. Such a shame Geezer and Armagh aren't still in div 2/3 so he could continue his 20 year crusade of ripping then a new one :D
