Returns train tickets are all sold out but I have a spare for the 7.50 am from Westport and  returning on Sunday evening at 7.15 pm. (seats reserved).
Will sell at face value - first come first served.

I see the Mayo team has been named for Sunday and there is one interesting name on the subs bench........ #32 Paul Lawless  Aughamore.
Is this the lad who was recently released by Derby County FC?
If so, has he been on the panel all along or recently joined it?

[quote If I was Johnno I d have every relative I have doing novenas for the continued fitness of Barry Moran. Key player for us. [/quote]

How can you say Barry Moran is a key player for Mayo????
The amount of 'competitive' football he has played for club and county in the last three years would just about just over two games if lucky. I would hold off on the 'key player' label until he proves himself on a consistant level. Until then he is still a fringe playerwith potential in my oppinion.

Will Mayo people please stop saying Barry Mpran has to come back in to the Mayo Team.
He was NEVER in it long enough in the first place !! I can see him getting injured in the warm up for the Sligo game and he will disappear again for another 12 months!!

well In our connacht Championship i would have

Galway 2/1
Mayo 2/1
Sligo 10/1
Roscommon 20/1*
Leitrim 20/1*
London 200/1
New york 300/1

*Great chance to make the final but no chance winning it

Ross4life, Don't think Paddy Power will give you a job anytime soon!!!!
Those odds are way too generous, but I'll put a ton on Galway winning connaught at those odds! :) :)

Thanks Geoff
That sounds good.

Anyone know if there is a special train from Castlebar for the game on sunday?????
#12
Well the Mayo 'strength on the bench' left a lot to be desired last Sunday!
Think we'll struggle big time especially with Mc Garritty, Gardiner and Ronaldson out.
A.O.S. would  struggle to make his place on a Junior B team at the moment.

Not trying to make excuses for the defeat, but what did you all think of the state of the pitch yesterday??
I could not believe how bumpy it was, and it was much worse than it looked as I walked across it after the game.
It's all fine and dandy having a nice big stand and new press box (I won't mention the f***dli***s) but when the ptich looks like it was used for sheep to graze on over the winter, it takes away form the good improvements.

There was a Galway kitbag there but I have no idea who was at the trial.
