GAA Discussion / Re: Would you manage versus your own

Man sits down with club officials before starting. Man agrees to come on board with one stipulation.. he won't manage against his home club... the situation comes to pass... Man keeps his word. The Internet goes bananas.

Ive been on an Irving Welsh buzz recently, what a talented writer.

Anyone know of any other writers in the same vein?

He's the best. Ive never been able to find anyone remotely close.
Irvine lads, Irvine.

Lol. Never even noticed.

Are Ballybay complaining about the situation? If not why does it bother other people so much? Seems to be a lot of it from people who want to have a go at Jerome Johnson and/or Kilcoo.

In a nutshell.

That is some pile of dung of an article about Jerome Johnston. I remember reading bits of it at the time and same again here. Many parts are just pure fiction all to make a good story. Everyone in Down knows the depths they go to win at all levels of their club. Johnston is the Ballybay manager and should grow a pair.

Sour grapes.

I'd say there's plenty working in the private sector who wouldn't get close to some nursing salaries

You mean working for agencies and getting paid way more.

It should be noted that 'Jap' is a derogative nickname, dating back to the more primitive 1960s when Paul's  father was so labelled due to  physical feature and out of total ignorance.
His dad did not appreciate the nickname 'Jap' and it follows most certainly that his son should not be labeled so.
Has anybody even ventured to question their usage of the nickname 'Jap'?

Everything that's wrong with the word in one post. And it's not the nickname.

Ach sure look it is offensive to the blind these days ffs.

All Cross's slabbering about having Ulster title and beyond in their sights comes back to bite them. Got a complete lesson in football in the 2nd half. You never look beyond your next match.

Ah that's unfair. Any cross lad I've spoken too were of the thought it's a year or two off yet.

Can't see a thread. Apologies if one exists.
I'll be having a punt on Glen for this. Kilcoo just not looking as strong but do have the ability to peak at the right time.
Cross look great but maybe it's just a year too soon.
Errigal great on paper but tyrone champs not been at the races in years.
Interesting dynamic with Jerome senior with ballbay.
Should be a cracking championship.

Ah lads you haven't lived if you haven't had a Belfast bap with the works at George's market!!!

Best hangover cure ever!!!

Is the market worth a visit have never been?

100% on a Saturday or Sunday morning good food kiosks and craft shops about. Usually music as well at some point it's definitely worth a visit!!

Would usually go on a Sunday morning as everywhere else in the City is shut until 1!

Thank you. Will go Sunday
