If that team lines out then you can probably forget about much if not all of what you saw from Galway in the league. I hate the term shadow boxing but that lineup doesn't suggest much else.

Not the first time Joyce has started Ian Burke completely out of left field. Let's hope he's seen something to convince him. I'd have Finnerty in the top 10-15 forwards in the country at the moment, so injury aside it'd be a strange move
I'd be very interested to see your list of top 15 forwards if Finnerty is on thr list

All very quiet on here, should be a hard tight game and how both teams will set up should be interesting.
It won't be anything like the Connacht final last year when Galway sat back and let Ros come on to them get turned over and down the pitch for a handy score. Davy Burke has put those days behind us hopefully and if galway win which I think they will, just about, it will be hard earned, really looking forward to the game.

If they had the 3 out of 4 in the super 8s. It would have been a success, there would have been no dead rubbers as everyone would have something to play for in the final game, figure it out.

As it stands now the 3rd seeds will be Mayo, the loser of Ros/Galway, Tyrone and the loser of Derry/Monaghan unless Tipp beat Kerry or Dubs don't reach Leinster final. If dubs don't reach Leinster final then Derry would have to beat Monaghan or Dubs would be a fourth seed. Don't ask😳

The league game will have no bearing on this game, it was only Burkes 2nd real game in charge and he didn't really know the best set up. I would say Galway beat themselves that day by not going for it when they were 4 pts ahead in a low scoring game.
However Ros are a different kettle of fish since and bar the Monaghan game have showed something different in every game. This will be a real battle of tactics and while Enda stepped up the last day he will be closely marked next Sunday so Ros may not get as much joy in midfield.
This is the real test for Ros, I rate Galway ahead of Mayo by a bit and if we can stay close here and maybe even nick a win it will be real progress.
Looking forward to the game.

I think the 4 provincial champions deserve the no 1 seed ranking but all other qualifiers should be seeded on their league ranking is Sligo NY Limerick or Clare should carry 4th seed rankings.

Back after a long layoff for various reasons, the thing is the provincial championship is the only thing many counties can realistically aspire to, many a pub wall is decorated with provincial champions, on a good or lucky day many of the lower ranked counties can get there or can dream of getting there.

On the matter of vat, all vat must be returned to the revenue commissioner and would not be considered as revenue by any business, those who do finish up in a bad place😳 therefore vat would not be a consideration in the venue for any game.

The only pairings that can't be repeated are the provincial final pairings, ie Kerry can play cork but not limerick,
Galway can play Mayo but not Roscommon.

League is our only fair competition, leave it stand alone. At the end of the league draw 4 groups for championship, 2 teams from each division in groups of 8.
ie group 1 play for nestor cup open draw no backdoor, first round only over 2 leg home and away, group 1 Monaghan, Mayo, Offaly, Cork, Laois, Westmeath, Sligo Waterford.
Each group plays for one of the current provincial trophys, 4 winners straight to semi-final,
before long you could have a player playing to complete his set of medals ie nestor anglo celt etc.

Congrats to our brave battling bunch of gasĂșns and to nice guy manager  Emmet Durney.
Well drilled and organised.
God knows when or if we get to play the AI semi v Kerry.

It would for blessing for ye to avoid Kerry.  They would make dog shite of ye.

Rossies have beaten Kerry the last 2 times we have played at minor level, 2017 all Ireland u17 semi final and 2006 all ireland minor final. Ya cant bate the ould facts.
