Quote from: Hereiam on September 18, 2023, 10:18:24 AMIt is the caliber of guests and topics covered which will make or break PK. the second he has Vogue Williams on then that's the end for me.

And thats that....2nd show in and shes on.
;D She'd give you the skitter.

The three guests together doesn't work unless that part of the show is longer like the Graham Norton show.

Holohan is very matter-of-fact, but I thought that was a very good interview.
Tubridy would have been too giddy and would have interrupted far too often - Kielty let him talk and I thought it was great viewing.

Honestly, never even heard of her.

Lucky for you that you never seen those terrible TV adverts or when she was moaning to the media after some chap chosen not to switch seats with her on a flight last year.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Milltown Row2

Anyone called Vouge is a red flag straight away. And those complaining about seats on a plane need to be put in the hull of the plane!
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Itchy

You mustn't read the Sunday Indo if you've never heard of Vogue. They run articles every week on what she thinks of everything, what she has for breakfast and much she loves her hubby

JPGJOHNNYG

Leave poor vogue alone ;D . In fairness I thought she was alright in that holiday show a few yrs back with Tommy Bowe.

A very soft interview, I understand it being that way with the questions about his deceased wife. But, no push to ask Holohan on the disgraceful Cervical Check fiasco and cover-up, Covid restrictions, His quango job in Trinity that went tits up when it went public that it transpired he actually was going to do nothing.

A very wealthy man, with a huge pension - now writing a vanity book about himself.

It was a soft interview, and never intended to be anything else.

I think that you have a distorted view of very wealthy, Holohan is decently well off, as every member of his graduating medical class is, but the wealthiest person in that studio was interviewer not the interviewee.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Got it in one Armaghniac.

How far have we really come from the Neanderthal when TV interviewers get paid about 4 times a Top Doc gets while fkn soccer players get paid as much as 250 Nurses :-\  :-*

What way does this work?

As LLS usually has quite a few on who have just released a book, does the writer/book company pay for an interview or does RTÉ pay the guest for the 20 min interview?

I think it's more that the only time many 'celebs' have any reason to do interviews is when they have something to plug - either a film or book or TV series
