Antrim / Re: Antrim Football Thread

I see mick Mccann kicking off on Twitter and a few boys who have played county chiming in too. Doesn't look good for the county. Very strange how this happened.

Angelo the referee wasn't great for you but you beat yourselves. That game was there for the taking. What will you ever learn from it if all you do is blame the ref??
#8418
Yeah I don't know why there hasn't been more furore about this. It was very cynical but looked absolutely ridiculous.

gavin crowley hit his own man on the back of the head and told him to go down holding his head lol.

Also he played significantly better in the second half than the first half...

There was phone number gate in the 00s too, or was that bullsh@t too?

Was it the same source as the James Horan earns 70k with Mayo ;D

Doesnt mean its not true...

I agree. It doesn't mean it is true though...

Is the word poisoned not a bit of a stretch irrespective of anything here? I remember doing belfast marathon one year and kids putting fairy liquid in water. Does that count as poisoning?

The whole thing is a bit ludicrous.

As someone else said it's Novochok stuff here lol.

Seafoid there are 6 counties up here so why would one suffer that over the other. In saying that I still think Angelo sleeps with a tin foil hat on.(Well actually maybe he needs to lol)

if he did something like that he should be prosecuted however not for one second do I believe that nonsense lol. Say the guy was sick then what proves anyway that it was the water. Maybe he had something in him. It's one of the more ludicrous things I have heard of apparently happening on a football pitch ;D

Can someone explain what the alleged water bottle incident was??

Some buck on t'interweb sent a WhatsApp message saying Tyrone gave poisoned water to Kerry's during the game. Simple minded fools picked this up as gospel and spread it around.

;D I would believe many things with underhand tactics these days however I think that may be bullshit lol.

If Tyrone were lacing water bottles I don't know why they didn't target the man doing all the damage for Kerry, Maurice Deegan. Sounds like a yerra story to deflect away from the referee.

Angelo if Maurice deegan goes missing I know who my number one suspect would be >:(

I was surprised how subdued McCaffrey was. He has been unmarkable all year and to me was clear favourite for POTY. I think if O'Brien was on the back foot then he would be less effective. Also if you make him defend he isn't the most disciplined so would probably get a card of some description.

Interesting assessment on Small lol but yeah he doesn't seem blessed with discipline.

I think small is a great player. He has been I disciplined in the past but I think he now has a reputation with referees and that certainly doesn't help him

Yeah if he wasn't great I don't think gavin would have him near the team. Him and cooper with McMahon out would be the more aggressive players.

On the match Saturday Dublin were a lot more pumped up/ aggressive than they would usually be. More in the rubbing it in after scores and winning frees etc. They don't tend to be like that but to be fair all the teams are at it so not a massive criticism.

I thought Byrne would have been a fall guy and maybe lacked a bit of physicality until I saw him overpower aidan oshea at one stage on Saturday.
