Did that player who "took a knee" during the National Anthem get a team or is he still persona non grata?
Kaeppernick is still a free agent but what often gets lost in the worthy debate is just how useless he's been for a few years now. If Martin Luther King was still alive and could play the position well enough teams would be queueing up for him.

Bullshit excuse. There are worse QBs than Kap amongst the 32 starters and certainly amongst the 96 odd QB roster spots in the league.

Puckoon

Chiefs were impressive last night on both sides of the ball once they got settled. Kareem Hunt had some turn around after his first NFL play resulted in a fumble - something he hadn't done once time in 4 years at Toledo.
Expensive night for injuries though it looked like.

Ty Hill's high school 200m time would have finished 6th in the 2014 Olympics.

Can't believe anyone would try and make the case it's his performances that are the real reason he's not on a team. It's such insane whataboutry.

Josh McCown, DeShone Kizer, Scott Tolizen, Jared Goff, Tom Savage, Nathan Peterman, Brian Hoyer, Trevor Siemian and Blake Bortles will all start NFL games this weekend.

This isn't Rodgers or Brady we are talking about. If he played like either of them he would be starting on a team. Team obviously obviously see his average play, being kind, as being not worth the extra hassle

I would imagine he would be an expensive back up, and as for your example of Jared Goff. He was a #1 pick last year, the Rams are hardly going to stop his development to go with someone Like Kaepernick.

Not just his performances but he is awful. The likes of Hoyer, McCown and Simian have performed better than kaeppernick over the last few years. RG3 and Johnny Manziel don't have jobs either, 2 lads who performed at a similarly poor level to kap. With the injuries he has deteriorated from an exceptional athlete into an ordinary one which as a sub-par thrower makes him worthless at this level. Also his failure to vote in the presidential election suggests he's full of sh!te anyway. A right social justice warrior.
Super rich, conservative old white guys don't like overpaid, underperforming mixed race young guy protesting during the Anthem isn't a shock to me but kap not getting a job isn't some great injustice. The vast personal wealth of these nfl owners is more obscene and unjust than their racism which is mainly a generational thing. Economic injustice is the true modern social evil. Racism is a sideshow that is dying out anyway.

Surely hes not on the rooster because he cost to much? The 49ers made a serious mistake keeping him over the guy now at the chiefs! Getting rid of the manager also put the 49ers into free fall

I was hoping the dolphins would take him over cutler when tannehill went down. i wonder how much the cuban thing was in miami's thinking and how much was playing ability. He would not have been a popular choice. Cutler will probably play great now and prove me wrong

Cutler for his faults has an arm, look at the receivers Miami have, Landry & Parker. Kaepernick would be getting them the ball down the field. He operates with a very restricted playbook, it's all inside the numbers

Chiefs absolutely torching the Patriots in Foxboro. Couldn't happen to a nicer team.

The Patriots will be fine, they are too good and jealousy is a bitch! )

There's a fella who writes for the42.ie on the NFL and he is full of it. Was predicting the Patriots to go unbeaten (no one else was). Well done him. Always good to see the Patriots getting beaten. Balls musts have been the wrong pressure. Or maybe Tom was concussed?

No one goes unbeaten, go Pats!

Hound

For the likes of RG3, Kap, all the undrafted free agents and the hundreds of lads that get cut in pre-season, is there are a lower level/club level/minor league that they go and play instead for the season?
