Spoke to a good few people from outside Tyrone who would liked to have watch yesterdays game but there's no way any of us were going to pay £16 for the privilege, far too steep.

There are many many things I would like to do in life but can't afford it either, what's your point caller?

Suppose the point here is tyrone gaa could have made more money with having a reduced price to attract viewers from oustide tyrone

Or they could have let TG4 show the games free to air to the nation. Promoting the club championship in Tyrone. This would have give them a guaranteed income. With that national publicity they could then seek more from sponsorship from LCC as championship sponsors or when that is up for renewal attract a higher rate.

Narrow minded, quick pound view from the county board. They deserve every bit of criticism.

LCC turnover £900Million ffs, wont make any odds to them.

That's good news than. That's where Tyrone GAA need to be targeting if they need increased funds not children and fans. By free to air nationwide channels show the championship it only increases the commercial value of said championship.

Not thinking of that our wonderful high and mighty county board took the short term vision to charge £16 per stream and charge children £3 entry.

That's the way it is... says Eugene

I won't be running for a position but thanks for your support. I wouldn't be qualified to hold any such position. Jobs for the boys up in that place. It's a merry go round. Swap roles every few years but in the main it's the same personalities.

It is in need of a major shake up however and one could only hope the decisions around the club championship would prompt those more qualified than me to consider running against this committee that have had a free ride. A convention without competition is just a coronation!! Eugene might run for 10 new roles and withdraw on the night lol

Pomeroy and Eglish also play this weekend with the Fianna needing 2 points Vs Clonoe.

Coalisland will gain 2 handy ones here

Sure why would we not give Fianna 2 points west teams trade points all the time!

Knock Yer Mucker In

:) :) :) the last few days have been fantastic. I was like a ray of blue light in a very dull Coalisland yesterday.

County pro Eugene McConnell defending the prices rises whilst the cost of living soars and use of food banks increases is just asinine. Surely his position is untenable now?!

2 points on reflection regarding the streaming fiasco

- the price was too high and rationale given was utter bs, cost of living going up is the precise reason to keep the price stable at £10 same as last year
- the decision to stream instead of go with TG4 or RTE has its logic, the national broadcasting platforms will be geoblocked in places meaning viewers will miss out, especially important for the teams involved that their people the world over can tune in reliably without having to figure some sort of hack

So 1 good 1 bad

Was the cost that expensive? If you were attending the game live would you have minded paying that price? If you are paying the same price for the comfort of your living room with replays and commentary then that's not bad either...

The cost to drive to the game, or bus to it, few pints and buying a ballot ya never win, you'd be more out of pocket!

Following that logic, should the All Ireland final be 90 euro on pay per view?
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Its free to watch, why would you pay 90 quid? If the game is being streamed then its pay per view.. why would you link them both?
