5times is exhibiting what most of the disident republicans I have come across do. Real bitterness and anger. The fact you bring Lewis Hamilton and the colour of his skin into the debate really shows your true colours to me. Conflict cannot continue indefinetely and the winning by conflict alone was never going to happen when you are in stalemate 30 years later. A political solution, a truce or a treaty of some sort ends most of these conflicts. In such a agreement both sides need to compromise and that is what happened. You are a tiny minority within the republican family and maybe you should remember  that.

As for EG going on about republicans having to convince 1 million unionists on the benefits of a United Ireland. Again, that is wrong. Republicans only need to convince 50.1% of the whole of the 6 counties. That could means as little as 5% of unionists would have to vote for a united Ireland (if all catholics voted for). Now, if that happened what would the unionist attitude to democracy be I wonder?? Why, I'm sure there would be parades everywhere celebrating a truly historical democratic decision. What would you do EG?

I'd happily attend an Orange parade in a Unitied Ireland  :o

Jim, I might be wrong but I don't think those were Dungiven jerseys that Eoghan's family were wearing...they looked to me like they were green and white and do Dungiven not play in black & white?  However I did notice that Eoghan wore what looked like a Dungiven GAA polo shirt in one of the "talking head" sections.  The Kevin Lynch's website has several articles about Eoghan on it wishing him good luck etc so they don't seem too concerned about his poppy wearing or singing on the single.

I haven't the article to hand so I won't argue.  I think it is sad that the young lad is getting flak in either case.

/Jim.

I dont think any GAA person is giving him flak. But its sad that OWC again go out of their way to be upset by the a club name.

What do you mean by OWC?

OWC = Unionist Loyalists

Why the feck is Ronan Rafferty, a man from Warrenpoint and who went to (cough, spit) the Abbey, wearing a poppy of Setanta Sport?

I can understand why wee Eoghan X had to wear one, and the clowns at BBC gotta do what their name suggests. But Setanta?

5ive times, I cant work out whether:

a) you've surrendered to the british
b) you've still aspirations of a Unitied Ireland by force
c) you've aspirations of a Unitied Ireland by stealth

or something else. Which is it?

Folks, be warned, there is now a website that can pinpoint your location, based on your mobile phone.

http://www.trackapartner.com/

Its main use to date is for tracking partners that are "playing away"

Sorry, but I am still of the opinion that sharing with the GAA and the so called shrine were the major factors for the overwhelming majority of North of Ireland fans. Also I believe that the vast majority of people know damn well there is no viable site in Belfast for the stadium and have held out in the hope of a redeveloped Windsor Park which is again the preferred option of the vast majority of North of Ireland fans who simply want their wee stadium for their wee country. I also believe that Wells' preference for the Maze site was the prime reason for his removal

Sorry, without facts and figures, or even anecdotal evidence to back you up the above is merely the opinion of one individual and you know what they say about oponions and arseholes everyones got one and most of them stink  :D

Well, thats your opinion.
