Jim Allister complains that Europe are attempting to divide and rule the UK.

Yet not so long ago that is exactly what England did on Ireland.

General discussion / Re: What's your relationship with alcohol?

I know two alcoholics very well.

One didn't stop until he was at death's door. It has taken a few years to recover, but it left scars.

The other is still on that downward spiral and won't admit there is a problem. It is tearing their family apart.

Like any other drug, alcohol can be a positive thing. But it can be hard to realise when it has become an addiction.

Personally, I feel sorry for people that need alcohol in order to relax or enjoy themselves.

Iíd say the DUP would be delighted for the occupied six to be removed from the Ulster Championship and play in an English championship, the winner then playing in the Connaught championship.

Good draw for Armagh.

Beat Down, then Cavan for a place in the Ulster Final. Handy enough.

I thought it hilarious that the company involved actually thanked god after the ruling

as if a celestial dictator had anything to do with a point of law!

I found that quite funny too. God only sides with the ones that pay their Tithes, and doesn't care too much for sinners.

What competition is this?

Sorry - my prediction!

Clearly there is something wrong with that individual.

Possibly he needs help, as well as prison.

To be fair to Syferus it was a pretty idiotic comment he took exception to.

Surmising what was Ronaldo's thought process?

I'm sure you'll be able to work out what I meant eventually.

Sorry, I donít.

On this, just gauging general opinion,

What are people thoughts on those that accept 'payoffs', then proceed down the criminal path some years later?

Sympathetic? Had their money and blew it so they lose their 'right' to justice?

Given that this doesn't happen and you appear to have demonstrated a spectacular lack of knowledge of what has actually occurred in this specific case, it's pretty hard to offer an opinion on it.

You don't "proceed down the criminal path" at all. That course of action is pursued by the state. Mayorga has filed a civil suit.

Well, I understood what the question meant.

Two wrongs donít make a right. The misdemeanour was wrong and the payoff was wrong.

1/3 the thread descends into a conversation about Roscommon. Any takers.

It would take someone of your breath-taking arrogance to try and make a thread about rape about inter-county point-scoring.

Ah go on Syferus, say something nice for once.

You would think that with a man of his standing there would be plenty of willing women.

So why did he choose one that wasn't?

Consent can be removed at any point. Such a weird way to look at it as usual.

Sorry for looking at it differently. Hope I haven't offended you.

Youíve done more than that with your knuckle-dragging approach to this topic in the past.

How was I to know you are gay?
