interesting reply there. What's your beef with the guardian? Its one of the only English papers I would ever read and the website is pretty good too.
What papers do you recommend ?

I'm not sure the report from the Pentagon is blaming anyone. The gist of it is that the risk of war as countries seek to protect their assets; water, food and oil in the face of rising water levels the spread of disease is much greater than any terrorist threat

Interesting piece, 12 years and Britain could have a Siberian climate...
Where does that leave Ireland?

aye- I watched the Pettite press conference, he sort of came out and said, Im sorry I did it when it wasn't against MLB rules, I did it to recover from injury more quickly and Im really sorry. He also came out and said "mac told the truth about me" He also said he felt for Clemens, but specifically did not back him up.

Clemens is going down...

Fossett's disappearance led to the most compute power ever being devoted to a search and rescue, and the techniques used by (would you believe) a joint google microsoft and amazon  team of computer scientists have led to huge advances in how search and rescue is addressed. There is an introduction to it here http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/13/AR2007091302586.html
Goes to show that despite all of the satellite imagery and tracking available, a man can still very simply disappear, even when thousands of people are looking for him.

Its unlikely (but not impossible) that Fossett left with the specific intention of not being found, but if you compare the Nevada mountains with the mountains in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and someone who is actively avoiding being found, its no wonder that Usama hasn't been found...
