I read about Ger Brennan - does a lot of charity and volunteering work - supposed to be really, really nice, genunie fella.

He brought Sam to Erin's Isle last month and I would have to say he was brilliant with the kids and genuinely friendly to everyone - I came away thinking he was a top fella .

I have to say that after the service the man has given to the county Ronan Murtgah's retirement has gone unnoticed and has largely not been mentioned among the chattering classes.....

I'm sorry to hear that , my thoughts would be that it is premature and that a player of his quality surely has something to offer Down next year . One thing for sure , he owes Down nathing . Best of luck Rony Murtagh .

Next one I'm looking forward to is The Specials below in the big tent in Cork in June .

I thought I was bad with Howard Jones DRB..you make me look cool :D :D :D

You are bad, but Buster Bloodvessel is still cool after all these years. Bad Manners concerts have been up there with the best I've attended over the past 25 years.

Ahh Sams you are missing a trick here - great band and as Ulick says their gigs are up there with the best I've been to . Did you have a spikey mullet back in the day when you were going to Howard Jones gigs  ;D

Get plenty of parents involved as soon as possible , the more adults to kids ratio  the better ,  Avoid kids waiting in lines , you will spend half your day splitting up fights and arguments  ,Break them into small manageable groups ,  Set up different skill stations and move the groups on after 10 mins any longer than that and they start getting bored The more touches of the ball / small ball the better . Encourage at every opportunity - remember to when you were a child and an adult said well done or great score , good hands etc . Praise to a child in massive the more they get the more they want to do well. . You will surely need the patience of a  saint - best of luck .

Lad's if you land up tomorrow with a kid on a full price ticket is there any refund ? Where do ye have to go ? (Hogan Stand )

No refund for a child. If you have a Cusack or Davin ticket and the holder is a full time student (with card) or an OAP you can get a rebate.

Thanks heffo .
