Wrong lake ;)

Colmcille threw a championship away with their post-quarter-final celebrations against what was always a very ordinary Killoe team.

I don't know if the celebration can be blamed, but there was certainly a lack of application/focus after beating Mullinalaghta.

The cavalcade from the Red Cow to the Cross after a quarter-final(!) seemed to indicate too much was being taken for granted.

I guess, but any decent management should be able to 'dislocate' expectations from reality and prepare accordingly.

Cian Mackey transferring to Mullinalaghta. He's living there now. He should be a good addition.

So it all kicks off today:

Group 2:

Killoe v Clonguish, Friday, 8pm, Monaduff.

Group 3:

Longford Slashers v Fr Manning Gaels, Saturday, 7pm, Newtownforbes.

Group 4:

Dromard v Granard, Saturday, 7pm, Abbeylara.

Group 1:

Colmcille v Mullinalaghta, Sunday, 6.30pm, Dromard.

Would favour Killoe, Slashers, Granard and Colmcille for those matches.

Kathy Bates in Misery.

(To be fair, if you'd asked me beforehand, I'd have been happy with that result but losing an eight-point lead is not satisfactory.)

Hmmm,

Just got an updated fixture list in which all Killoe's matches in both the Senior and Junior championships are marked as "Postponed".

Skulduggery and intrigue going on? Never change, Longford GAA.
