The last 7 days have been a great boost to Kerry football. Dublin are on the way down. Dermot Connolly suspended. Bernard Brogan, Paul Flynn, Paddy Andrews and Philip McMahon past their sell by date. The so called "great"young players haven't stepped up to the mark. We'are in disarray and over reliant on Andy and Cillian to do all the scoring, David Clarke kick outs are a worry, management worrying too much about opposition and not picking our strongest team. Meanwhile are Kerry are into AI Quarter Final. They will beat Cork well enough playing in first gear. Mark Griffin and Tadgh Morley have resolved the central issues in defence. Jack Barry has added mobility around the while Kilcummin Kevin McCarthy has added steele to the half forward . Not forgetting the 2 best inside forwards Paul Geaney and James Donoghue(finally over the injuries). Then you have Darran Sullivan, Jack Savage, Anthony Maher, Kieran Donaghy, Bryan Sheehan, Sean O'Shea, Killian Spillane, Gavin White, Johhny Buckley, Killian Young and Andrew Barry as options coming off the bench. Word is they are training twice a day to build up fitness levels for late August/September as fitness caught them last year. Who can stop Kerry winning All Ireland??
Dublin.
No-one , think they will win AI fairly easilly
I applaud your knowledge of Kerry football.
However McMahon is still at his peak while Andrews is only 28.
Connolly will be back for the AI final.
Kerry will need Moran and O'Donoghue to stay fit to have any chance.
Kerry likely to have to beat Mayo, Tyrone/Donegal and Dublin to win the AI which is a tough ask
The greatest risk to Kerry would be one of their big heads seriously hitting in to another
Maybe Mayo if they make the Q-final and end up playing them?
