Ref never give Donaghy a very obvious free with 4 in it, ref not to blame for Monaghan not winning this one!

If you were any use you'd be playing.

Monaghan very unlucky but far from gone. They've every chance of getting a result in Salthill. Galway & Monaghan are about the same level.

Ref kept Kerry in the championship there. Some of the frees in they got were a joke.

Some of the Monaghan were equally dubious. Kerry lucky but Monaghan shouldn't be looking at anyone but themselves. All to play for though.

Galway and monaghan both know a draw suits them next week. Might check the odds on that.

Draw doesn't suit Monaghan as they'd have to play Dublin. It's two weeks time so I think all teams will be going for it.

I'm fairly sure Monaghan would bite your hand off for that prospect at the minute.

Jinxy

Monaghan would have been going to Galway looking to win anyway.

The fact that Roscommon and Kildare have absolutely nothing to play for shows the stupidity of these super 8s. Kerry will likely rack up a big score against Kildare which should get them into the semis.

The 2013 version of James O'Donoghue would have won that game for Kerry at the death.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Monaghan looking to win regardless, now with added vigour and belief after this game

Hard luck to Monaghan, it will probably be wishful thinking for Kildare to be able to do ye a favour down in Killarney but hopefully they can get at least a point in Salthill.

straightred

they've proved they can compete at the top level. Now they are well able to finish the job off in Salthill

Says a lot that Kerry are relying on him.
He reminds me of El Cid at this stage

El Cid was a famous soldier in Spain and the Muslims were afraid of him. The legend is that after his death he was strapped onto a horse that went into battle and the sight of him on the horse freaked out the enemy who lost.

Only for that late Clifford goal the last round of Super 8s games would have produced 3 dead rubbers.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
