What planet is he on?
There is no chance of this happening

Rather negative a chara, I don't see the harm in broaching this subject at all -- at least it shows a willingness on the GAA's part to reach out. And of course, there will be entrenched resistance to this idea in certain quarters, but at least the acknowledgement has been offered.

Cullybackey loyalist defenders GFC could have a certain ring to it, if not a whole new meaning!  ;D

Yep, Justin Mc Mahon indeed, Joe's still crocked I believe. An interesting selection, and just about as strong as we have for what promises to be a very tough test. See Billy Morgan has called up Owen Sexton, Dermot Hurley and Kevin McMahon.

From Tír Eoghain, and don't agree Seán. Yes, the GPA have been very important in improving things for players, but strictly as a ''ginger group', not a body to represent the elite only, a grouping of which Seán is an elevated member.

The players, sadly, have had real need for agitation on their behalf, but the line should be drawn somewhere, and the club players cannot be overlooked in all of this. Very conspicuous in their absence is any reference to the ordinary club players in the GPA press releases.

GAA Discussion / Re: Tyone Responds To GPA Regonition

It's difficult to disagree with the sentiments expressed in that letter; it becoming more and more evident that the GPA's aim is undoubtedly to look after the interests of the elite, and as such it indeed represents the antithesis of everything the GAA's about (as previously stated here).

Not sure if the treatment that Brian Mc Guigan was, or was not, in receipt of was anything like as bad as it was rather sensationally made out to be at the time in the press. Though I agree more could have been done.
