LAMH DHEARG AS PART OF THEIR DEVELOPMENT PLANS ARE RUNNING A BOXING NIGHT TITLED 'BASH AT THE BALMORAL' ON FRIDAY 12TH NOV.. VENUE IS THE BALMORAL HOTEL. AMONGST THOSE CONFIRMED INC NEIL MCMANUS, JOEY SCULLION, GAVIN BELL, SIMON MCCRORY, CONOR MCCARTAN, MARK CRAIG, LEE MOORE, PAUL DOHERTY, AS WELL AS OUR OWN DECLAN LYNCH, JOHN FINUCANE, STEPHEN TULLY AND BRENDAN HERRON.

TICKETS COST 12.50 AND OUR AVAILABLE FROM ALL BOXERS, THE CLUBROOMS OR ALTERNATIVELY MAIL US AT bashatthebalmoral@gmail.com AND LEAVE YOUR DETAILS.

THE HOTEL ALSO HAS ROOM FOR TWO WITH BREAKFAST AT REDUCED RATE OF 60 ALL IN

best of luck on your big night. think you might be selling yourselves short at 12.50 a ticket, 20 seems to be more the norm now.

A bit off topic, was at our club tonight for part of our centenary celebrations. Old timers were interviewed and was all edited into a dvd that was played. A great night was had but my post was about the recording of games from yesteryear. 1988 Minor football final against Lamhs! Was great to watch even though we were hammered. I'd hair and could play football!

Hair was flowing back then ;D

Lamhs were a decent outfit back then, that team went on to win senior championship (though not on the pitch ;)) what struck me and we watched the Senior finals in 87 and 88, was the poor standard of football. Pats Spillane would love the fact that the teams just about kicked everything, not always the ball.

Christ i thought we had a good team back then ;D

Important men behind the scene trying to set up Buchanan v Saffron Sam. Sam will be punching way above his weight but his shiny dome under the Balmoral lights could be an asset against the ageing Hannahstown great.

I've always been a lover, not a fighter and I'm unlikely to change now.

Besides even for myself, a six stone weight disadvantage would probably be too much of a handicap.

I think a much better fight would be between ONeill and Olly; there's a fair chance young Shane would get licked in the ring. Thanks Mrs Merton.
