Is it a venial sin (Yellow) or a mortal sin (Red) to throw your hurl at an opponent duriing a game? Advise please!

Throwing the stick in a "dangerous manner" is specifically a yellow card offence, but the offence of "dangerous play" is a red card offence, so it seems that it's down to the ref.
I didn't see John Gardiner get either card for throwing his stick at Eoin Kelly when he was on his way to score Waterford's fifth goal on Sunday

Gardiner is a dirty c**t and should have been booked for throwing his hurl at Kelly. The fact the Kelly scored a great goal makes no difference. If it had been the other way round Kelly would have walked. Fair play to Waterford they've made no comment on the incident but those knackers get away with murder.
