On another note, been dead lucky with the ballots. Have entered 5 times and won 3. This time, managed to win 2 tickets together. Heading to Luton game.
Quote from: lurganblue on February 01, 2024, 03:14:42 PMThe Holdovers really is a decent show. I had no expectations when I went to see this as I literally didn't know what it was about. At times it is serious and at times it was laugh out loud funny. Paul Giamatti is excellent. His character would remind you of his "Chuck" from Billions in some ways, but funnier.Really enjoyed it. Feel good show. You can understand why it got a few Oscar nominations. One of my favourite films of last couple of years
Quote from: nrico2006 on January 13, 2024, 03:40:07 PM1883 had a great lead character but the show was boring as hell. 1923 was far better.WIll finish it off and try to watch 1923. Annoying the last few episodes of Yellowstone not out till November i think

Congrats to Ros. However from a Mayo perspective it's impossible to ignore three years of crap tactics, stupid team selections and general mismanagement of our team. Dempsey has coached the life out of our 21s. I didn't want him back this year but we got landed with him again. This absolutely must be his last time managing a Mayo team at any level.
Hopefully Ros go all the way from here. I remember their 09 minors being excellent but unable to shoot for shit. They seem to have the same issues three years on. Hopefully their forwards can step up and deliver.
Unfortunately I have to agree with you Cosmo. I haven't heard anything positive about the way the U21s (and minors before that) were managed over the last few years. Some of what I heard is beyond belief for county team management in this day and age - it wouldn't be tolerated at club level.
I hope we haven't lost some talented players or stopped them from reaching their potential.

Agreed it was awful. Not to show a full list of results is pathetic , on top of that they showed highigjts of games that were live on TG4 & Setanta Over the weekend. Not one camera left Montrose to follow a game. How many had they in the Aviva?
