I suspect the Derry management will blow every incident from Saturday nights game and potential incidents from the upcoming league game out of all proportion in the media over the the coming weeks. Emmett McGuckin already dipped his toe into this tactic with the comments about Mickey sending Cathal McCarron on to get him sent off. They know the media will jump all over these sort of things regarding Tyrone and by the time the Championship comes around such a frenzy will be created that any self respecting referee will head to Celtic Park to teach Tyrone a lesson by ignoring all claims for frees and sending off as many Tyrone players as he can.

Derry will kick the shite out of Tyrone knowing they will get away with blue murder against the big bad Tyrone machine and win by a point. The perfect plan by Barton who will be lauded as a genius.

It'll all backfire though as Tyrone lift Sam again by our favoured backdoor route and Derry lose to Cavan next time out and Wicklow in a qualifier.

A path well worn by a few of our Ulster friends. While they're using every avenue of media to whinge at the minute I predict that come championship time they will be refusing to speak to the media creating a seige mentality.............

The way you lads don't speak to RTE??!!! :o :o :o

At least they want to speak to us, yous boys are well gone by the time rte get interested in ulster!

Ironically Tyrone were actually the first team out in Ulster last year..

AI a different competition.

I don't think many would say he hasn't got a sense of humour to be fair. He does spout some rubbish amongst some good articles too.

Simple answer is it's better to go see a qualified GP. It doesn't cost you anything.

Self diagnosis from the internet will lead you to believe your dying within roughly 30 minutes.

In Belfast especially, the 3 most important things to consider in a house are, location, location, location.

Fully expect McGregor to fight either Edgar or Cowboy. Personally i think Edgar at 145 gives him a much tougher fight.

As for the Aldo fight, it just shows what a good striker McGregor is. Aldo was the P4P best fighter in the business, the equivilent of Mayweather without the excitment and ago. In many ways I feel sorry for Aldo as there is no way he's getting a rematch, cash is king and the public are fatigued of Aldo v McGregor hype with well over a year of build up.

So no Dublin players and no Donegal. Bit of a farce.

It's usually a combination of factors that lead to the a crash like this.

You hear people say why didn't the pilot communicate any issues to the tower but this is his least priority in a dangerous system with his main objective being, aviating, then navigating and finally communicating. If you are in your car and in danger of crashing, your least concern is to call an ambulance. Simplistic anaolgy but gets the point across when explaining to some.

That is true normally Dennis.

But there are two pilots. When you suddenly can't maintain your altitude, for example, one pilot must send a distress call so ATC can route other traffic away from your position, above and below. Otherwise you may recover control of the aircraft, but risk a fatal mid-air collision. Also, when you are about to crash your car the impact is just a second or two away. When you are in an aircraft at over 30,000' the impact is minutes away.

The lack of a distress call could hint at major confusion, just like AF447, whereby the crew were unable to comprehend what was happening, but at the moment that is just speculating.

Muppet I think it's something very similar to AF447, they had minutes to send a mayday to ATC when the plane had stalled and had 3 pilots in the cockpit for the latter part of the crash. in the end though it's the least priority to them. Anyway the black boxes should be found relatively easily in this instance in comparison to AF447 which took 2 years IIRC..

Sadly it does indeed look similar to AF447 and whilst Learmont was premature he was correct in his assumption of pilot error playing a part.

Pure Gym is very affordable compared to others in the city, yeah I was in LA Fitness for a while, was overly busy and used the pool a quite a bit. There is also the one Spirit(?) at Holiday Inn which has a pool but the gym wouldn't be half as good.

Pure Gym in Belfast has taken quite a few away from my gym was is good.

You get the odd poser, baseball caps back to front, staring at themselves in the mirror, massive upper body and legs of a chicken.

There is a social aspect too and some classes can be good craic. A decent substitute to 5aside football when we can't get numbers.

Muppet did you watch the 'Why Planes Vanish' documentary that explores the MH370 flight and search effort?

So was this rubbish then re Reunion Island wing debris belonging to the aircraft?

Great thread.

Magheralin is pronounced by all the locals around Lurgan as "Maralin," stress on the last syllable.

Where I grew up there's these single-lane roads running through what used to be the bogs and they connect two main roads like a ladder. The small roads are called ramparts, because they were higher than the ground that was excavated (they've settled a bit since then). They have names like Pier Rampart, Hall Rampart, Bay Rampart etc. The "rampart" is pronounced by all the locals as "ramper."

The same as Magherafelt then.

Was it Clarke's knee that was his main injury?

It does seem a lifetime ago but he was a joy to watch with those long diagonal balls going into him.

Lee just doesn't attract the Irish publics imagination for one reason or another.
