Is success in the Tailteann cup greater than the league? Personally think Laois have had a better season than Wicklow who got promoted to division 3. If the league was starting this month I would expect us to get promoted, Billy playing lads in their natural positions and Murphy getting back fit another plus. As the season has gone on I believe the team and Billy are all learning.

I'd worry about our mobility in the middle on Sunday. We don't have the natural athletes playing half forward or in midfield and this can get exposed in the big field of Croker. Hopefully there's a plan for this as Limerick broke through the middle a good few times last week.

He's trying to create a siege mentality for the players. Hopefully they get a nice draw and build on the win yesterday.

Great win for Laois and delighted for the lads. Laois have a good record playing away in Ulster for some unknown reason. 1-2 for Timmons and 1-1 the last day, what a great player he is and has been for Laois over the years

A review was conducted by Nicky Brennan a few years ago. Safe to say we've gotten a lot worse than that. Anyone know what the review points were and what was actioned?

Didn't Laois appoint a person full time to oversee S&C?

Do all clubs have gyms now? What's the uptake on it from u16s up?

Shocking. Anyone in the know, can you tell me if they were missing anyone?

Why would there be no appetite? We've no chance winning Sam (same as most counties) so why not be in a competition where they have a chance? The Offaly game should have a big interest if the marketed properly.

I agree High Fielder. Portlaoise have appointed a very good GDO and it will be time before they see the benefits. Can someone from Portlaoise tell me if the move of grounds has impacted playing numbers? I doubt anyone now can walk to the new grounds which can have an impact.

It would be great if a combined Portlaoise schools had a team entered in the schools A competition alongside Knockbeg. The fall off in senior and underage in Portlaoise is a big worry from an overall Laois perspective.

Ideally we need a Director of football/hurling (someone like Cheddar) to oversee everything and put proper structures in place.

How are Stradbally going SFSC? Great to see some of them on the Laois minor team, Laois as a county needs a strong Stradbally, Portlaoise etc. It would be great to see a big area like Mountmellick have a few representatives

Ideally would like to see Sugrue come in as a Director of underage football than the senior manager. We need a long term plan with a focus to get our underage structures as competitive as they can be. Clubs need to take some responsibility as well to unskill their own coaches.

Good question the PRO. Similar question re Diarmuid Whelan, he injured or not committing?

When you see what Louth are achieving it puts to bed the lack of underage success as an excuse. I don't believe there is a proper defensive structure in place and it's killing the team and that's on Billy and his management team. Do Laois have a defence coach?

Is Donie Kingston involved/training?
