Never before has Dublin been 1/50 to beat Meath. Colm has brought us back so much he's undone the foundations set in place by Andy and would rather give quotes in Latin than actually manage a team properly, he is blessed with some of the best players Meath have produced in over a decade. And is wasting it all. If Meath co board doesn't act at end of championship then is the supporters must vote with our feet.

I don't understand why Meath bother playing Dublin in Leinster. What is the point ? It isn't  a match . It isn't sport  Why don't they invalidate the match by playing with 16 players and hand the problem over to the Leinster council ? They are in the Sam  Maguire anyway.

Blaming Meath misses the point. How can they win ? They can't . The GAA has destroyed its own competition. 

In 6N, Italy were losers for years but due to the correct structures they made progress and won 2 matches this year. Compare their trajectory to that of the football teams in Leinster. 

I couldn't find another example from elite level sport of a team winning 13 championships in a row . County championships don't count.

If they do win the ulster 1st seed. They be destined to met Dublin in a semi if they top the group qualifiers and win their quarter final. If they lost in Ulster and did draw in Kerry Dublin section in the qualifiers they might be better placed to avoid Dublin to the final If they managed to progress that far, food for thought.

My thoughts:
You might be able to manage to lose a game here or there.
But that will only make the management of winning them more problematic.
Try to win every game and you will lose the unwinnable  anyway

Trying to win every game isn't necessarily the best approach in the new system

There is a not a single team that won't be trying to win every single championship match they are involved in. This talk around peaking at the right time is getting a bit mental. It's far more to do with training load than matches. If it's impact injuries you are worried about, you are nearly as likely to sustain them in training as a match, given the intensity teams be going at it in training.

Good old mickey continuing with the hypocrisy. Didnt let tyrone go on warm weather training camps for years and only a few years ago he backs a call to have them banned. Takes over Derry and hes off to a warm weather training camp for one week. Couldnt make it up.

Here, Derry need to be stronger at Intermediate and Junior like most other counties. A 12 team league senior league leaves it stronger also. Clubs know this is the case, there too much personal interest at senior club level to say, oh were a senior club in a 16 county league, and not worry about the lack of strength jn the lower leagues. What team outside of a top 10/12 teams, every won a senior championship, I say none.

Yes, and you are generally blown for overcarrying after 2 turns regardless of how little steps and time you have taken. One of those unwritten GAA rules

People really do like to complain! I was curious to see how bad the gaa site is for getting results after reading the above. Here's how challenging it was:

I went to gaa.ie and clicked 'results and fixtures' and there they were. Listed by date. Literally one click brought me to exactly what I was looking for.

Thought maybe the issue could have been with the mobile version. Went to gaa.ie on the phone, tapped the menu icon at the top, tapped 'results and fixtures' and there they were. Listed by date. A total of two taps.

There's even a search bar. Typed in 'league' and got a drop down list of which division's results I was looking for.

Are yis expecting Larry McCarthy to personally call to your door and hand deliver a printed list of the day's results or soemthing?

Gone have a wee look at the div 3 football table for me on it, and let us know if you think thats up to scratch as well.

Clearly the Div 3 table is missing, but that's obviously a case that it (ridiculously of course) just hasn't been published to the site, rather than an issue with the actual website design. Were it published, it's safe to say that the design of the site would make it accessible along by following the same naviagtaional process as opens any of the other tables, which is a process that requires making a grand total of just three clicks.

And it's the site design (and specifically, finding match results) that people here seem to be complaining about.

People are not imagining it. Its crap. Its worked fine for whatever you were looking for today, but that's not always the case. For example on matchday its not always straight forward to see the fixtures for that day.
