Why are they not showing the Mayo County final instead, would have thought it'd be a tighter game for the neutral to enjoy

Have the O'H's been sent home for good or is it just the off season?

followed by the whole of the Sligo Senior Football Championship Final which after this weekend's results appears to be: Tourlestrane v Eastern Harps.
You're not wrong there. Nice to see our final finally gets shown, although it meant that that Sligo's Top Referee (allegedly) had to ensure that it came to pass.

Apparently the Sligo SFC final is now been shown live, from what i've heard. It's all very confusing.

Find TG4 arrangements for weekend coverage outlined below. Note change to schedule. Unfortunately sometimes, especially at this time of year, matches can be changed at a late stage due to postponements, draws, late starts, etc. We are trying to update the information over the next couple of days.

TG4 will televise the Sligo Senior Football Final between Tourlestrane and Eastern Harps LIVE next Sunday afternoon, match coverage beginning on GAA Beo at 3 pm.

It had initially been decided to televise deferred coverage of the county final at 5:30 pm on Sunday, immediately following live coverage of the Down Senior Football Final. The revised schedule came about due to the delay in throw in of the Down County Final, which has been moved back to 4 pm. Full deferred coverage of that final, between Longstone and Mayobridge, will now take place on TG4 at 5:00 pm.

This is the first time that the Sligo Senior Final will have been televised live and is a reflection of the heightened interest in the match on a national level.

Presented by Micheál Ó Domhnaill, commentary and analysis will be provided by Brian Tyers and former Donegal footballer Finín Mac a Bhaird.

GAA Beo, you lads are doing a great job. We moan and complain, with justification, about the quality of RTE's coverage and the shortage of BBC's and UTV's, so it's only fair to acknowledge quality when we see it.

TG4 also proves that you don't need hype, contrived controversy, smart-arse pundits or fancy, flashy production  gimmicks (or, in RTE's case, gimmicks that were fancy and flashy fifteen years ago). What GAA followers want to watch is GAA games. The rest is peripheral.
